The best mountain to climb in Taipei!

Qi Xing Shan (七星山) was one of the tallest mountain in Taipei. It was a good 45min to an hour bus trip from Ximending area. It was a gradual climb with lots of stairs in the beginning, before the terrain transited to steep stairs nearing the top. There are landmarks along the way which helped us alot. Throughout the hike, you will see road signs that will let you know how much distance is left before you reach the peak. I would recommend packing a little food and drinks during hiking. It’s a luxury to eat and drink at the peak. Highly recommended to try it out!#taipei

My Visit to a Taipei Temple

Taipei Palace Museum

Step into a world of treasured Chinese history at the National Palace Museum in Taipei! 🏺🌿 Famous for the iconic “Jadeite Cabbage,” “Meat-shaped Stone,” and “Flower Vase,” this spot lights jaw-dropping craftsmanship and centuries of imperial art. From dynamic family day-outs to solo culture seekers, it’s a must for all ages! Getting there is a breeze—simply take a bus from Shilin MRT station (follow signs at Exit 1) and enjoy a scenic ride straight to No. 221, Sec 2, Zhi Shan Rd, Shilin District. Arrive early for fewer crowds and clearer views of the “Three Treasures” (they’re often busy with selfie-takers!). Tickets cost NT$36, available till 4:30 PM; plan your visit between 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Tuesday to Sunday (closed Mondays). Don’t miss the Grand Hall’s Insta-worthy photo op: capture the palatial steps with lush gardens around for an impressive museum shot. Head to the artifact display rooms for close-ups of the legendary cabbage (the light really pops in afternoon!), and snap the “Meat-shaped Stone” framed against the museum’s elegant backdrops. Tips: Pace yourself—there’s a LOT to see, but the main treasures are on clear display. Rest spots and a gift shop let you take a breather and pick up keepsakes. No flash photography allowed! Be mindful of quiet zones in gallery rooms. My bonus tip: Pack water and comfy shoes (it’s much bigger inside than it looks!). #Taipei #NationalPalaceMuseum #CultureTrip #FamilyFriendly #TravelTips
