Henan

Jiyuan City. Wangwushan. Yangtaigong—Sanqing Hall. Sanqing Hall, also known as Daluo Sanjing Hall, is five rooms wide and four rooms deep. It is a single-eave Xieshan-style building and is the largest existing Ming Dynasty wooden structure in Henan Province, retaining the legacy of the Tang and Song Dynasties. The bas-reliefs on the thirty square stone pillars in the hall depict Taoist mythological stories, such as Yunlong Xiangfeng, Huangshigong, Heshanggong, the Eight Immortals crossing the sea, gods of wind, rain, thunder and lightning, as well as secular scenes and farming after the rain. The ceiling of the hall is decorated with caisson, the arches are stacked, and the brackets are as many as eleven steps and five lifts, which are finely made and brightly colored.
