You can get to the castle via the A9 motorway, Villeneuve or Montreux junctions. A free parking car park is available if you self drive but remember to bring along your valuables with you. Lockers are available for you to drop your belongings within the visitor center. The Chillon Castle, a "water side castle", is essentially a 12th century medieval fortress surrounded by a natural moat and is one of Switzerland’s highly visited cultural destination. Take a guided tour of the premises and learn all about the history of the castle, the various catacombs, spiral stairways, underground rooms, banquet halls, architecture and its surroundings. At the same time, look out from the castle and enjoy the breathtaking and calming views of Lake Geneva. Totally peaceful and idyllic.
