Crossing the friendship bridge to Thailand!

This is Thai-Laos Friendship Bridge No.2 between Savannakhet, Laos and Mukdahan, Thailand. The whole process is pretty smooth but expect a long queue on weekdays, things are much better on weekends . Also expect to pay an extra 100 baht leaving Laos when you get your passport stamped with an exit stamp and there’s just no explanation for it apparently, they may give you a receipt even with it , but it’s definitely unexplainable 🙄 all in all, a nice experience after all. Just don’t fall for those hefty prices they may ask for transportation on both sides. You can always get around for a quarter of what they say, just give them your price and start walking. There are plenty of people who may stop for you on the road. And even if you don’t make it, 30 minutes walk is enough to get to the city on both sides. Don’t worry, it is safe .
