Spring at Xuanwu Lake

🌸 Xuanwu Lake Scenic Area is located in Xuanwu District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. To the east of Xuanwu Lake lies the Purple Mountain, to the west is the Ming City Wall, to the north is Nanjing Station, and to the south is Fuzhou Mountain. The lake stretches 2.4 kilometers from north to south and 2.0 kilometers from east to west, covering an area of 3.78 square kilometers, with a storage capacity of about 5.5 million cubic meters. 🌸 Xuanwu Lake is a shallow lake, a remnant of the ancient Qinhuai River channel of the Yangtze River. Historically, the area around ancient Xuanwu Lake was the most suitable space for human habitation in Nanjing, with ancient cultural sites such as Beiyinyangying, Suojin Village, and Anhuai Village.
