Wat Phra That Chae Haeng, Royal Monastery Phra That Chae Haeng is a sacred pagoda of Nan people. It is estimated to be around 600 years old. King Prakan ordered its construction in 1891 to enshrine the relics of the Lord Buddha that were brought from Sukhothai. The pagoda is 55.5 meters high and sits on a square base with a width of 22.5 meters on each side. It is covered with gold leaf and is one of the most beautiful ancient sites in Lanna. Every year, there is a festival to worship Phra That Chae Haeng between the 11th and 15th waxing moons of the 6th lunar month in the north, which is around the end of February or the beginning of March of each year. Phra That Chae Haeng is an important religious site of Nan and is over 600 years old. According to the chronicles of Nan, King Prakan ordered its construction to enshrine the relics that were brought from Sukhothai between 1891 and 1901.
