Rizhao Travel Musings

1️⃣If you want to take photos, I recommend the Upperside Coffee inside the Peach Blossom Island Scenic Park for its 🇰🇷 vibe. The atmosphere is great, perfect for taking pictures and having a drink~ (It seems to have been dismantled but will come back in May) 2️⃣📍Wanpingkou is the most visited spot. I suggest going directly to Gate 2 and Gate 3. Gate 2 has a beach bar as well as coffee by the sea, and Gate 3 is specifically for taking photos and sea viewing. 3️⃣This season there are seagulls! You can see them at the 📍World Sailing Base. We went there around 2 p.m., remember to bring some bread to feed the seagulls~ The photos look amazing 🤳 4️⃣For sunrise viewing, the top choices are 📍Shanhai Tian or 📍Lighthouse Square. Shanhai Tian is incredibly photogenic, with love beach, Rizhao's version of Ahnanya, where every casual shot is a masterpiece. Lighthouse Square has the beautiful sight of the orange-red sun sprinkling over the sea~ and there's also a rocky area! 5️⃣If you want to play in the sand, I recommend going to 📍Forest Park, half sea and half forest🌳. The park is huge, you can rent bicycles🚲 and there's also a Ferris wheel. 6️⃣For local snacks and to experience the local atmosphere, I recommend going to the 🈶 University Town. There are many small carts at night, reasonably priced~ Mainly bustling. 7️⃣Don't buy specialties in or near scenic spots, it's a rip-off! Better to go to supermarkets or markets. 8️⃣For seafood, make sure it's fresh, especially for sisters with delicate stomachs. I recommend going to the 📍Chocolate Fisherman at Wanpingkou, a chain store with a good reputation, clear pricing, and good dishes~ 9️⃣This season in Rizhao, be sure to keep warm. The wind by the sea is strong, so bring everything like hats🧢, scarves🧣, and gloves🧤! 🔟Rizhao doesn't have a subway, mainly taxis and buses, and there are also shared options near some scenic spots.
