Discovering Seoul's Cherry Blossom Hotspots
#cherryblossom2024
During the spring season, many travellers flock to Korea and Japan to witness the ephemeral beauty of pink cherry blossoms in full bloom. When the cities are blanketed in delicate pink hues, the scene becomes truly spectacular. I count myself privileged to have had the opportunity to visit Seoul during the cherry blossom season and immerse myself in its enchanting scenery. It's an experience that feels almost surreal, witnessing the juxtaposition of modern high-rise buildings against the backdrop of nature's resplendent beauty.
Among the plethora of breathtaking sights, there are three places in Seoul that I highly recommend visiting during spring to witness the cherry blossoms in all their glory.
Gyeongbokgung Palace
As one of Seoul's most iconic landmarks, Gyeongbokgung Palace offers an unparalleled setting to admire cherry blossoms. The palace grounds are adorned with these delicate blooms, framing the majestic architecture with a touch of ethereal charm.
Tips: Consider renting a Hanbok from nearby rental shops. Wearing Hanbok adds to the experience and makes for stunning photos against the backdrop of cherry blossoms and the palace.
Seokchon Lake
Nestled near the renowned Lotte World, Seokchon Lake transforms into a mesmerising sea of pink during the cherry blossom season. The area surrounding the lake bursts with vibrant hues, providing an exquisite backdrop for photo-taking. Whether strolling along its banks or admiring the blossoms from afar, Seokchon Lake offers a captivating experience for all visitors.
Tips: Seokchon Lake can get quite crowded during peak cherry blossom season, especially on weekends and evenings. Go early in the morning to avoid the crowd.
Cheonggyecheon Stream
Tucked away in the heart of Seoul, Cheonggyecheon Stream offers a tranquil escape amidst the bustling cityscape. Lined with cherry blossom trees, the stream creates a serene and picturesque setting, perfect for a leisurely stroll or quiet contemplation. The sight of cherry blossoms gently cascading over the stream's banks adds a touch of magic to this urban oasis, making it a must-visit destination during the spring season.
Tips: The best way to explore the stream is on foot, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes because it is quite a long stroll.
These three destinations not only showcase the natural beauty of cherry blossoms but also offer a unique perspective on Seoul's cultural and urban landscape during this enchanting time of year.
Golden nigh view at Gyeongbukgong Palace
The night view is stunning and the night feeling is very different from visiting during the day. I would highly recommend it if you happen to be in Seoul when they open during the night. If you are visiting in the day, please wear a handbok to immerse youself into the history and significance of the palace. #freehotelstay #gyeongbokgung #서울 #首爾 #seoul #yolo #culture #palace

I want to visit HK to enjoy their wonderful attraction and night
Magnificent Night View of Seoul
My second time here at N Seoul Tower but this time round with my love one. I fell in love even more with this magnificent night view of Seoul taken from the observatory of N Seoul Tower.
Tips: If u have booked the tickets online, please redeem it from the kiosk once you reach Namsan Tower after taking the cable car. Usually it will take minimum 1 hour (peak hour during evening) to be your turn to take the elevator up to the observatory. U may then spend that one hour to explore the Namsan Park.

Always heard of others that Hong Kong has one of the best city night view. I wish that I can be there the next time to witness it from the Victoria Peak at night. 🌆
Glance of N.Seoul Tower Observatory 🇰🇷
Part 1. Inside edition.
The photos are views from the observatory. Going to this tower has always been my dream. Unfortunately, I couldn't get clear photos of the city view because it was cloudy all day.
Things we did in the tower:
1. Took photos at the entrance of the tower.
2. Bought mini melts at the vending machine.
3. Bought a souvenir, the N Seoul Tower coin.
You should also try the restroom in the tower as it has a glass wall to enjoy the view.

Bukchon Hanok Village 🗺️
#seoultrip
My recent exploration of Bukchon Hanok Village in Seoul left me enchanted by its timeless charm. Nestled between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace, this traditional Korean village is a living museum of hanoks, showcasing the elegance of historic architecture.
Wandering through the narrow winding alleys of Bukchon, I marveled at the well-preserved hanoks, traditional Korean houses dating back to the Joseon Dynasty. The village offers a captivating blend of history and modernity, with some hanoks now housing modern amenities while retaining their classic facades.
The highlights include the stunning views of the city from various vantage points within the village, providing a unique perspective of Seoul's skyline against the backdrop of ancient rooftops. The Hanok Cultural Center is a gem, offering insights into the history and craftsmanship of these traditional dwellings.
Adjacent attractions include the awe-inspiring Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung Palaces, inviting visitors to delve deeper into Korea's royal history. The eclectic mix of cafes, galleries, and boutiques within Bukchon adds a contemporary flair to the historic ambiance.
In conclusion, Bukchon Hanok Village is a captivating journey through Korea's architectural heritage. Its central location and proximity to other cultural landmarks make it a must-visit for those seeking a delightful blend of the old and the new in the heart of Seoul. #seoul #southkorea

Gwangjang Food Market 🇰🇷 Korea
#seoultrip
Food is good for the Seoul.
A terrible pun seems like a good way to lead into a post about street food.
Gwangjang street food stalls are in good supply, there a lots of local and traditional foods and the ladies cooking the food are welcoming and friendly.
Sweet and spicy is the order of the day here, whether it's meats, vegetables, pancakes or any other of the tasty dishes.
The atmosphere is good and comparatively to other markets I have been to in Asia, this is fairly clean too.
The market is vast and once you've finished eating or taking pics of the colourful food, there is fresh food stalls, fabric stalls and even a second storey of little shops too.
