Parish Church of Sacro Cuor

The Parish Church of Sacro Cuor was founded in 1877 and has been a Parish church since 1918. It was originally called the Sanctuary of our Lady of the Sacred Heart. In 1930 the church was enlarged due to the increased population of the area. During World War II the church was heavily damaged but was repaired. It has quite lavish interiors, beautiful masterpieces and hanging chandeliers, but sadly it wasn’t open when I visited. #celebrateit #malta #mediterranean #church
