Eslite Bookstore is more of a comprehensive building with a bookstore as the main body than a bookstore. The whole building is very design-oriented, and you can see the iconic 72 steps that are 18 meters high and 6 meters wide from the east gate, which is very magnificent. The bookstore sells a large number of books and has intimately designated areas for customers to sit down and read. In addition, exquisite stationery stores, dessert shops, coffee shops, restaurants, and clothing stores are distributed on each floor, and literary youths can shop here all day. The rich collection of books comes from 200,000 Chinese and foreign books from 2,000 publishing institutions around the world, covering five book areas of Chinese and foreign literature, humanities and social sciences, art design, lifestyle and trend learning. You can see a lot of traditional books by Taiwanese authors, but the price of the books is a bit expensive. At the entrance of the book sales area, there is a "sincere book selection" shelf, which lists sincere recommended books. It is said that the quality is very good and worth a look. Interesting shops such as Suzhou embroidery, Suzhou fans, nuclear carving, wood carving New Year pictures all have Suzhou's local characteristics. The Visual Laboratory is located on the loft above the Art Book Area, displaying art works, and the layout is very small and fresh. The Eslite Children's Pavilion on the second floor sells children's books and toys, and customers with children can come here for a visit.
