Travel to Taiwan, follow the old railway tunnel cycling route

Today, I'm sharing our first Taiwan trip. The main intention is to find a railway tunnel that has been adjusted for cycling. For a city like Taiwan, we have to go there. Let's see where we went. .- Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a very large and grand landmark. In the picture, it looks like the weather is nice, but in reality, it's so hot that it's almost melting. Under the building, there is a bubble tea shop called Chun Shui Tang, which is delicious and you have to try it. On the top floor of the building, there is a statue of Chiang Kai-shek. Every hour, there is a guard changing ceremony, so there are a lot of people, especially near the time the shift is changed. .- XIMENDING is a popular area in the city center. It is a shopping area for various brands and food. Although there may not be as many food as other night markets, it is an area where many foreign tourists come to walk around. .- Longshan Temple is a temple where many people come to pray, especially elderly Chinese people who sit around the temple to pray. There are also many Thai people at this temple. When walking, you will hear people speaking Thai all the time. I think they are probably here to pray for good luck. .- Beitou Public Library In every city in Taiwan, they have made public spaces very well. There are both libraries and parks in almost every city. So we saw a lot of elderly people using these spaces. There are also many children. It looks like a library that everyone can really use. .- Beitou Hot Spring is an outdoor hot spring that is free to enter. When you enter, the smell of sulfur will hit your nose first, followed by the hot steam blown by the wind through the water. This pool water flows down the hill along the stream to the park below. Not far away, there is a hot spring pool that you can try soaking in, but you have to pay a small entrance fee. .- Danshui is the most impressive city on the trip. It is a city at the mouth of the river before going out to sea. Because the city is hilly, it is especially interesting. Plus, there are many old buildings, both Western and Chinese. I recommend coming in the evening. The atmosphere, people, and air are very good. You can walk or cycle along the sea. Not far from the station, there is also an old street selling food. .- Houtong Railway Station From the station, walk across the skywalk and you will find a cat village (which doesn't have many cats because they are all asleep). On top of the cat village, there are many cafes in a row. This train line can visit many places. Another station is a popular place to release lanterns, but we didn't go. .- Fulong Railway Station Start the TRA at Taipei Main Station as usual, but this time, buying a ticket for a reserved seat is a little more expensive. It took more than 1 hour to reach Fulong. When you leave the station, you will see a bicycle rental shop. The price is 100 TWD/day (about 100 baht). The goal is to follow the Human Ride program, which is a bicycle path in an old railway tunnel. At the end of the tunnel, you will see the Pacific Ocean. After cycling for about 3 km from the station, you will reach the entrance of the old railway tunnel. You can clearly feel the temperature change. It is very hot outside, but it is cool inside like the air conditioner is on. The length of the tunnel is about 2 km. The tourists here are mostly elderly people. Most of them are Chinese people who come by tour bus. Some people walk back and forth (very tough). Some people rent electric motorcycles or bicycles. At the other end of the tunnel, if you don't cycle back the same way, you can cycle up the hill and along the sea back to the station. The distance is about 20 km. So let's cycle back the same way. I would like to leave the places we visited on our first trip to Taiwan. I was very impressed because it was my first time traveling alone with my younger sibling. Planning it myself was so much fun. If I have the chance, I want to go back to Taiwan again. .#TaiwanTrain #TaiwanTravel #Trendy #TaiwanTravelPlan #TaiwanTravel #GoodQualityContent
