Small Town charm

Tallinn is the capital of Estonia and is an hour's ferry ride or 30 mins by plane away from Helsinki. Its main tourist attractions are all located in the heart of the Old Town which consists of lovely colorful historic buildings. There's even a medieval feel to the city that is further emphasized with the many restaurants serving medieval themed foods. As in other Old Towns in Europe, you'll be greeted with cute city squares that always seem have some event going on. Heading over to the hilltop, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views over the city and surrounding sea. It really makes for lovely pictures. Overall, the small city is a great place to spend a few days without denting your wallet. The city is affordable and outside the mostly restored Old Town you'll find a less gentrified and more rustic version of Tallinn which is also quite an interesting contrast. Head over to Tallinn and you'll leave being charmed by this little city!
