The Ancient Guanyin Temple is located in Luohandong Village, Dongda Street, Chang'an District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, and is a thousand-year-old temple with a long history.

Historical Origin The Ancient Guanyin Temple was first built in the second year of Zhenguan reign of the Tang Dynasty (628 AD). According to legend, this place was originally formed from the body of the Jinghe Dragon King after he was beheaded. To resolve the resentment, Emperor Taizong of Tang, following Xu Maogong's suggestion, built the Guanyin Hall, which later evolved into the Ancient Guanyin Chan Temple. Every year from late October to mid-to-late November, the leaves turn from green to yellow, and falling leaves resemble rain, creating a spectacular scene of "a single tree forming a forest, with springs and trees coexisting."
