Guizhou's Maoling River Grand Canyon

1-5, Maoling River Grand Canyon, the beautiful scar of the earth. 6-11, Wanfenglin, a bird's-eye view of the Bagua fields, Fu character fields, and Nahuai villages from halfway up the mountain. We arrived at the Wanfenglin scenic area at 9 am during the Spring Festival period, when there are many people and vehicles, and it's easy to get stuck in traffic in the village. We parked our car more than 1 kilometer away from the entrance of the scenic area at Xu Xiake Plaza, and if you arrive late, there are no parking spots left. The total distance of the sightseeing route halfway up the mountain is 8 kilometers, plus the return route it's 18 kilometers in total, with negligible elevation gain. For those of us who enjoy hiking, we chose to only buy tickets (60 yuan for adults, free for children under 14 and seniors over 60) and not take the sightseeing bus. After descending to the village, we took a Didi taxi back to the parking lot. This way, we could walk and stop as we pleased halfway up the mountain and take photos at will. In the afternoon, we went to the Maoling River Grand Canyon. Online it was said that the entrance at Dachaiwo is downhill and less strenuous, but the Dachaiwo entrance was closed due to construction, and only the Xiaoqingshan entrance was available to enter the scenic area. The Malin River Canyon Bridge near Dachaiwo was also closed due to construction, so the best photography spot mentioned online was no longer accessible. During the dry season in winter, the Wanma Pentium Waterfall is reduced to a thin stream of water, completely missing the grandeur of summer. However, the Huanglong Waterfall still has a considerable amount of water. If you want to cross the cave passage on the opposite side of the canyon, remember to bring an umbrella, as some sections drip a lot of water, like heavy rain. We didn't have an umbrella and got soaked, but fortunately, the weather was very hot, and it felt interesting to walk through the waterfall.
