For your first visit to Lijiang, don't look at this guide

Lijiang's history can be traced back to the Warring States period, and it is predominantly inhabited by the Naxi people. Today, well-known places in Lijiang, such as the Naxi culture, have gradually become commercialized due to the influence of tourists. If you come to Lijiang for the first time, you must still go to see the 600-year-old Lijiang Ancient Town, the babbling Shuhe Ancient Town, the quaint Baisha Ancient Town, Lugu Lake known as the 'Kingdom of Women', and the towering Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. If you come to Lijiang for the second time, I hope this post can give you some inspiration. Cross the emerald Jinsha River, traverse the lofty mountains, and visit some ancient villages with only a dozen households to unlock the hidden version of Lijiang. On the first day, I still choose to stay at the Shuhe Ancient Town Lijiang Backpacker Ten Year Youth Hostel. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll around the ancient town. If you encounter a party hosted by the hostel, you can have a happy time. On the second day, I will go to the Little Island Coffee to bask in the sun. This coffee shop is located a 15-minute walk from Baisha Ancient Town. The owner runs the shop in a 'Buddha-like' manner, and the business hours are not fixed. Lying on the outdoor terrace, I can meditate all day, or maybe I have already fallen asleep. You can also go to the He Xi Theme Coffee in Baisha Ancient Town to listen to a folk song and think about the girl you miss. Join me on the third day to Baoshan Stone Town. The journey is long on this day. If it weren't for the roads that have been built now, it would be hard to imagine how difficult it is for local villagers to make a trip to Lijiang city. Even after arriving, you can only park your car at the entrance of the village, carry your luggage, and walk step by step through the new town to reach Stone Town. This is a village built on a rock. Baoshan Stone Town is bordered by the Jinsha River to the east, the Yak Ridge to the west, Taizi Pass to the north, and Yankedu to the south. Surrounded by overlapping terraced fields, with three mountains as a screen and one side facing the river, the Stone Town has a total population of 880 people, inside and outside the town. Every afternoon, the small square at the entrance of Stone Town is where the village's grandparents, dressed in Naxi costumes, dance. On the fourth day, you can choose to hike to Taizi Pass during the day. Take a ride on the Jinsha River cruise (very niche, hardly ever operates). In the evening, watch the dancing, walk along the river boardwalk to see the starry sky, and if you have a drone, even better, you can capture a panoramic view of the entire Stone Town, which is spectacular. This is a place with no light pollution at all. Although it is a primitive village, you don't have to worry about accommodation. There are two hotels here, Backpacker Ten Year and Tea Horse Road Stone Town Lishi Mountain Residence. On the fifth day, you can start your journey back to Shuhe. Next, we go to a real 'Peach Blossom Valley' outside the world, Shigu Village. The journey is suitable for special forces. If you don't want to be too tired, you can still rest in Shuhe for one night. Every March, the Peach Blossom Valley is in full bloom with peach blossoms, misty clouds, white walls and grey tiles, a paradise on earth. Although it is very niche, there are also two hotels, Backpacker Ten Year and Tea Horse Road Peach Blossom Valley Lishi Mountain Residence. On the sixth day, why not experience a hike? Who would have thought that in this place forgotten by the world, there is a hiker's paradise 'Ananguo' hiking 'route, which can be as long as 2 days with an overnight camp in the middle, or as short as 8 kilometers, returning the same day. The scenery, well, can only be described as a paradise on earth.
