|A place you'll regret not visiting!! The Stone Forest Scenic Area It takes about 3 hours to tour the Major and Minor Stone Forest, which are considered the two essence spots of the Stone Forest. The sightseeing bus costs 25 yuan, running to and from the tourist center and the entrance of the scenic area, and it also includes four or five spots inside the area. However, hardly anyone gets off midway; most people just visit the Major and Minor Stone Forest. The Major Stone Forest is where you can find the inscription 'Stone Forest' by Long Yun, and from the highest pavilion, you can see a panoramic view of the Stone Forest. The Minor Stone Forest features the Ashima transformed stone, the Sailing Stone, and opposite is the Lotus Pavilion. The small spots passed by along the way were once filming locations for 'Journey to the West', with famous scenes like 'The king orders me to patrol the mountain' and 'Would you dare to respond if I call you?'. The Stone Forest is a very typical karst landform, with marine fossil remains. You can see the peculiar peaks and strange rocks, such as the third picture which is the legendary Ashima transformed stone. Ashima is wearing a headscarf, carrying a basket on her back with camellias inside, and there are rocks resembling a roc spreading its wings, symbolizing a promising future, as well as rocks resembling fierce tigers, little birds, and more... I didn't hire a guide, just looked at the map, played, and took photos on my own, occasionally eavesdropping on the explanations of tour group guides. I feel this is more free. If you want a guide for a full explanation, there are guide services available at the entrance of the scenic area, where you can ask for details. The full ticket is 130 yuan, with half-price tickets for students, which need to be purchased at the manual ticket window of the scenic area. However, it's only for primary, secondary, and undergraduate students, not including postgraduates. It's very cost-effective to enter with a half-price student ticket, but for me, the full ticket doesn't seem that worthwhile, so friends, take advantage of your student ID and go out more.
