Lunch Special Okonomiyaki Set Meal at 'Tanuki-Tei Tsuruhashi Store' in Osaka, Tsuruhashi

'Tanuki-Tei Tsuruhashi Store'
Lunch Special Okonomiyaki Set Meal
A 3-minute walk from Tsuruhashi Station on the subway. This okonomiyaki restaurant, beloved in Osaka for over 40 years, prides itself on its simple yet delicious okonomiyaki and teppanyaki, which bring out the full flavor of the ingredients.
During lunchtime, you can enjoy a set meal that includes okonomiyaki, yakisoba, or teppanyaki with rice, miso soup, a side dish, and pickles at a reasonable price. After the meal, coffee or ice cream is offered as a service.
▼ Okonomiyaki Set Meal 900 yen
A fluffy okonomiyaki baked with original okonomiyaki flour. You can choose pork or squid for the filling.
Enjoy the rich taste of the harmony of sauce and mayonnaise, of course, but the batter itself is tasty enough without sauce, and you can also enjoy the crisp texture of the cabbage.
The set meal comes with cold tofu as a side dish and pickled vegetables in a pot. It's a set meal that allows you to enjoy the Osaka-style way of eating okonomiyaki as a side dish with rice and miso soup.
The nearest station is Tsuruhashi Station on the Subway Sennichimae Line, Exit 4, which is conveniently located near the station. There is a parking lot in front of the store, so it is also possible to visit by car.
The restaurant is easy to enter even for a solo lunch and can be enjoyed with friends or family.

Experience-based Izakaya 'Kaisen Sakaba Uopuku' in Higashi-Umeda, Osaka, where you can catch and taste fresh fish from the fish tank.
🇯🇵Osaka, Higashi-Umeda
'Kaisen Sakaba Uopuku'
Catch fresh fish from the fish tank and taste it immediately
A 5-minute walk from Umeda Subway Station, this experience-based seafood izakaya allows you to enjoy freshly caught seafood from the fish tank.
Fish caught from the fish tank can be prepared in two ways, including sashimi and simmered dishes, as well as carpaccio. Other interactive experiences include oyster Jenga and whitebait scooping, where you can enjoy seafood while having fun.
▼Fishing: Live fish sea bream market price
The seafood varies depending on the day's catch. This time, I caught a sea bream and enjoyed it as sashimi and in a simmered dish. The price depends on the size and season; this time it was 6,600 yen. The sashimi sea bream had a crunchy texture and a sweetness that spread umami in the mouth as you chewed, offering the ultimate taste. It seemed like a fairly large sea bream, and the amount was just right for about four people.
▼Oyster Jenga 2,640 yen
You can enjoy the oysters you stack within 30 seconds either grilled or raw. The oysters are from Murotsu, Hyogo Prefecture.
▼Sushi: Assorted 8-piece omakase
Octopus, surf clam, salmon roe, tuna, salmon, seared salmon, shrimp. I had it made to order. Authentic quality with red vinegar rice.
▼Uopuku Roll 1,518 yen
A middle roll with egg, topped with salmon roe and sea urchin. The sweetness of the salmon roe matches the red vinegar rice.
▼White fish and prosciutto with fruit carpaccio and balsamic vinegar 1,375 yen
The sweet and sour taste of strawberries and balsamic vinegar, combined with the saltiness of prosciutto, allows you to enjoy the original deliciousness of white fish and leafy vegetables.
▼Salmon Rare Katsu 1,155 yen
Crispy breaded salmon katsu with good fat content, topped with salmon roe. Served with plenty of purple tartar sauce made from pickled shibazuke.
▼Fresh Fruit Sour each 880 yen
・Seasonal fruit sour
・Strawberry sour
・Pineapple sour from Ishigaki Island, Okinawa Prefecture
・Pink grapefruit
Photogenic and cute sours with a sweet and sour aroma. Refreshing and smooth to the throat.
▼2-hour Premium All-You-Can-Drink with Japanese Sake 3,300 yen
You can enjoy all-you-can-drink of over 60 types of Japanese sake from various regions. You can select from the fridge and pour for yourself. You can also enjoy choosing your own sake cup.

The coffee is the shop's original blend.

If you want to eat a seafood bowl in Osaka, this is a good place.
It's a seafood bowl specialty store located inside the market and is open from 6 a.m. I ordered the 'Limited Quantity Tuna Scrap Bowl for 2,000 yen' because they are particular about fresh, real tuna. I waited for 2 hours, but it was a satisfyingly cheap and delicious tuna bowl.
