Resilience Unveiled: Reflections from the Berlin Wall
#timetotravel
Recently visited the Berlin Wall and was deeply moved by the cruel history it represents. It served as a stark reminder of the hardships endured by individuals during that time. However, what truly impressed me was the unwavering strength of the German nation. Through the reunification of East and West, they have demonstrated resilience and determination. Witnessing their progress since the fall of the wall is awe-inspiring. Germany's ability to overcome adversity and build a prosperous future is a testament to their spirit. #BerlinWall #Resilience #GermanNation #Inspiration #berlin

Iconic Murals on the Berlin Wall!
The Berlin Wall, once a symbol of division, now forms a large open-air gallery featuring 105 murals by artists from across the globe. Many were painted in 1990, the year after the wall fell, and the artworks that line the banks of the River Spree stand as a memorial to the reunification of Germany and to a broader moment of globally significant political change. The most striking and renowned murals include Dmitri Vrubel’s Fraternal Kiss, Birgit Kinder’s Trabant breaking through the wall and striking cartoon heads by Thierry Noir.
if travelling to Berlin, it’s a must visit!

east and west side of berlin wall
Berlin Wall, German Berliner Mauer, barrier that surrounded West Berlin and prevented access to it from East Berlin and adjacent areas of East Germany during the period from 1961 to 1989. In the years between 1949 and 1961, about 2.5 million East Germans had fled from East to West Germany, including steadily rising numbers of skilled workers, professionals, and intellectuals. Their loss threatened to destroy the economic viability of the East German state. In response, East Germany built a barrier to close off East Germans’ access to West Berlin and hence West Germany.

Berlin Wall. - Germany 🇩🇪
Berlin Wall is a place that you can’t miss if you are in the city of Berlin. This wall divided the East and West part of the city in the past.
Nowadays, you can see lots of art work displayed and is an icon of peace. The recommended sightseeing time is half an hour or maximum one hour. It is a beautiful place with a tragic history behind as there were many battles held in this site. There is a memorial as well.
There is also a small museum next to it so don’t miss it out. The museum has some historical documental. This is an incredible experience for those who love history and culture.

The official name of the Berlin Wall is the anti-fascist defense wall. It is the border defense system established by East Germany on the territory of West Germany. The Berlin Wall divides Berlin into two, blocking the free flow of people between East Berlin and West Berlin. Before the construction of the Berlin Wall, about 2.5 million German Democracies fled Democracy, many of whom traveled to West Germany and other Western European countries via West Berlin. The Berlin Wall was built on August 13, 1961, with a total length of 155 km. On November 9, 1989, the German government announced that it would allow citizens to apply for visits to the Federal Republic of Germany and West Berlin. The Berlin Wall was forced to open. In June 1990, the Democratic German government officially decided to dismantle the Berlin Wall. 220m Berlin Wall. I was moved by the story of this division. 1961.8.13, when 3.5 million East German residents fled. Respecting history means remembering history which is why the German government built the museum on both sides of the Berlin Wall.

Walls are made to be broken
The Berlin Wall plays an important role in world history, and you can feel the importance when you are there in person.
Now it is a great way for German’s to express modern art, using a wall that used to split the city apart.
Spend a few hours to walk around it, maybe have a beer if you’re into that. No matter what, make it a point to see it when you are in Berlin.

If you are coming to Berlin for the first time, you can have a day in Berlin. The route I want to introduce below will definitely be your best choice.
It is recommended that you depart from the Alexanderplatz in the heart of the Old Town. The most striking building on the square is the towering TV tower, the tallest building in Berlin. Standing on the tower, you can see the magnificent view of Berlin.
From Alexanderplatz to the south, Berlin's Berliner Rathaus and the Marne's Square. There is a big fountain in front of the town hall, which is a favorite place for children to play in the summer. There are statues of Marx and Engels that are familiar to many Chinese people on the Marne square. There are many screen posts in the square that record history. If you have time, you will find a page of Chinese history there.
