🏨 On September 22, I stayed at Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu. It is said that Kota Kinabalu has the most beautiful sunset in the world. The sun sets and the sea reflects a long, thin golden light. The sky is slowly dyed. 📍 The hotel is in a good location, and is basically surrounded by Chinese people. It is very convenient to get to the island, and it takes 7-8 minutes to get to the hub station. The locals recommend Mantanani Island, which has a glass jelly texture. My friend caught a bread crab for me to see, it was so cute. I also saw the most fish I have ever seen while snorkeling. But! The boat ride takes an hour, and it is so bumpy that you will question your life. You will basically arrive at around 12:00, and return at 3:00-4:00. 🏄‍♀️ Sunset paddle board, the first time I played stand-up paddle, the coach praised me. Keep your core stable, don't be afraid. It was actually quite fun, I paddled very fast, and I felt very safe lying on the paddle board and rising and falling with the waves. 🏨 Other: About the hotel: I looked at many resort-style hotels and did some research. These hotels have more small creatures, or the maintenance cost is too high, and the hardware is average. If you don't mind the age, you can go and experience it. ✈️ Travel time: I think 3 days and 2 nights, or 4 days and 3 nights is more than enough. The city is average, the airport is very small, and I would give it 1 star for shopping. 🍽️ Food: There is a night market behind the hotel on Fridays and Saturdays. The long street is full of things, 1/3 of which are drinks, which are colorful and sweet, and not very interesting. You can only use cash. I didn't exchange money that day, so I spent a little Singaporean dollars. Apart from Jingwen Tea Restaurant, which is worth eating, the price may be the main reason. A table of dishes costs less than RMB 300. I just went to Kota Kinabalu from Singapore, and the same thing in Singapore costs about RMB 3,000. 🏝️ Island Selection Before coming, I looked at some guides, mainly recommending 4 islands: Mermaid Island, Sapi Island, Manukan Island, and Mamutik Island. The choice was effortless because I only considered the distance It is said that it takes three hours to get to Mermaid Island, which means a six-hour round trip, so I didn't consider it without staying on the island; Sapi Island requires one hour, so two hours for a round trip, and thinking about my seasickness, I gave up. So my choices were narrowed down to Sapi Island and Manukan Island 🌟 Highlights I signed up for a one-day tour of Sapi + Manukan, starting at 8:30 in the morning, gradually filling up a car, about 10 people, and we were the last two. (It turns out that it's only a 10-minute walk from our hotel to Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal. Waiting for the speedboat 🚤 at the terminal, it took 15 minutes to reach Sapi, and the trip included a seafood buffet lunch. (Pretty bad First, we played some water sports at Sapi, and at 1 PM, we moved on to Manukan. There were obviously more fish 🐟 at Manukan, and even my husband, who is usually a landlubber, couldn't resist snorkeling. As for me, lying on the white sand, I was drowsy 😪 and very comfortable, with the ants on the sand being insignificant ☁️ We returned to the terminal around 4:40 PM and went back to the hotel 🏨, changed clothes, and went straight to watch the sunset, which we made in time. The hotel lobby, rooftop swimming pool and sea view restaurant are all highlights with good design. The breakfast is quite rich. I like their juice, which is thick and tastes good. 🌊The hotel is a certain distance from the beach, and there are a number of buildings in Dawn Square in front of it, so the sea view is not perfect. When you are on the plane, you can see the hotel building, which is quite conspicuous. It stands tall there, square and covered with green plants, and there is a hollow swimming pool on the top floor. If you don't live in a sea view room, you can go to the top floor or restaurant to see the sea view. The restaurant on the 22nd floor and the bar on the 23rd floor form a duplex space, and the swimming pool is just outside the bar.

There's a balcony where you can step out and take photos 📷—great for capturing beautiful shots. The room is clean, spacious, and well-organized. They even provide a welcome gift, which is a thoughtful touch. Overall, the experience was satisfying, but one unpleasant incident occurred. Around 6 PM, while we were enjoying the sunset in the room, the door suddenly opened and quickly closed without any prior knocking or ringing. I caught a glimpse of the door opening and informed others, but couldn't see clearly if anyone had entered. Others shouted to ask who it was, and only then did we hear the doorbell ring again. Upon opening the door, two staff members asked if they could collect the trash. After we declined, the two staff left without apologizing and instead laughed as they walked away. Although it might have been a misunderstanding, it was quite upsetting. Firstly, it was not during cleaning hours, and entering the room without prior notice or respecting the guests' privacy is unacceptable. If we hadn't been in the room, we wouldn't have known if anything had been touched or moved.

The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of local and international options, all fresh and well-prepared. I appreciated the use of local ingredients and the thoughtful service. I highly recommend it because it not only has a beautiful skybar, but also has a great location! It is very close to all the check-in spots on Gaya Street I walked there several times a day and I checked in on the way to dinner on the first day (and several must-check-in delicious restaurants are also in the same area) On the way to the dinner place, you will be able to check in all the time very smoothly · 🔹The first location is the pink eagle wall Two check-in camera positions ❗ Remember ❗ The first one is the zebra crossing in front of this building. Here you can shoot big scenes and people are relatively small. You can take walking street photos, but the zebra crossing is at a place similar to a three-way intersection. It feels like there are cars passing by in all directions. It is really not easy to shoot. It is recommended to finish shooting quickly. Safety first. The second camera position is above the downhill position of the underground parking lot in front. There is basically no one passing by there. When we went there, no one was taking pictures, so we could take pictures more relaxedly.
