Memorial Temple of Lord Bao
One of the first places that I paid visit during my visit in Hefei, luckily during the spring festival the Entry for the temple is free to enter 🎏
once you pass the gate you can observe the temple itself which is by the river.
Lord Bao (999-1062), named Bao Zheng, was a renowned officer in the Northern Song Dynasty (960 - 1127). He is well respected because of his excellent personality. Many temples were built to commemorate his death but the most famous temple between them is the Hefei memorial temple.
The atmosphere here has chill vibe to it and it’s family-friendly place.

Bao Gong Temple: A Convergence of History and Culture
Located on the eastern section of Huan Cheng South Road in Hefei city, a quaint and elegant complex of buildings stands quietly. It is the Bao Gong Temple—a place imbued with profound historical and cultural significance. The full name of the temple is 'Bao Gong Xiao Su Temple', which is not only the main ancient architectural complex of Baohe Park but also an important venue for us to explore the spirit of Bao Zheng and experience the long-standing history and culture of Anhui.
In the first year of the Hongzhi era (1488), the governor of Luzhou, Song Jian, built the Bao Gong Academy here, which gradually evolved into the Bao Gong Temple. This place has not only witnessed the legendary deeds of Bao Zheng's life but also carries the reverence and remembrance of later generations for this great figure.
Stepping into the Bao Gong Temple is like traveling through a tunnel of time, returning to that era of justice and integrity. The exhibits in the temple hall are rich and varied, including both an introduction to Bao Zheng's life and a display of ancient legal culture. Each exhibit seems to tell the legendary story of Bao Zheng, deeply moving visitors.
The Qingfeng Pavilion, as an important part of the Bao Gong Temple, has a unique architectural style and profound implications. It symbolizes Bao Zheng's spirit of integrity, fairness, and selflessness, and also represents the Anhui people's reverence and inheritance of this historical figure. Standing on the Qingfeng Pavilion and overlooking the entire Baohe Park, one can almost feel Bao Zheng's righteous spirit and his overwhelming presence that purifies the world.

Bao Gong Temple in Hefei
The Bao Gong Temple is located on Wuhu Road in Baohe District, Hefei City. It is one of the components of the well-known Hefei attraction, Bao Park, and is a special temple built to worship Bao Zheng, a famous clean official from the Northern Song Dynasty, officially named 'Bao Xiaosu Gong Temple'. The scenic area is not large, surrounded by green waters. In addition to the main hall, there are Lianquan Well, Liufang Pavilion, Huilan Pavilion, and a wax museum. Especially, the wax figures are lifelike, with key scenes such as the 'Case of the Beheaded Beauty', 'Beating the Dragon Robe', and 'Angry Rebuke of the Duke', which display the image of Bao Gong as loyal, filial, clean, and incorruptible. The ticket price is 20 yuan, with free or discounted admission for the elderly, children, and military personnel. The area near the attraction is crowded and parking is inconvenient.
