Phu Quy Island
#vietnam #island Phú Quý island is a small fishing island in the south central coast of Vietnam, about 120 km from Phan Thiet city. It is an archipelago of 12 islands, large and small, and has a rich history and culture. Phú Quý island is also known for its natural beauty, with clear blue water, white sand beaches, and green hills. Some of the attractions on the island are Trieu Duong Bay, Ganh Hang, Cao Cat Mountain, Phu Quy Lighthouse, wind power area, Linh Son Pagoda, flagpole of Phu Quy Island, and Van An Thanh (where a big whale skeleton is preserved).
Phú Quý island is not very developed for tourism, so it still retains its rural charm and authenticity. There are no large hotels on the island, only small homestays and guest houses. The people are very friendly and hospitable. The seafood is fresh and cheap, and you can enjoy BBQ on the beach with your friends. However, foreign visitors need to apply for a permit to visit Phú Quý island, as it is under military control. You can get help from travel agencies in Phan Thiet or Mui Ne to get the permit.
To get to Phú Quý island, you can take a Superdong speedboat from Phan Thiet, which takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes. There are only two trips per day, and the schedule depends on the weather and the tide. You can also take other types of ships, such as Phu Quy Express or cargo ships, but they take longer.
Phú Quý island is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful and relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you are looking for a place to enjoy nature, culture, and adventure, Phú Quý island might be a good choice for you.

A symbol of freedom
This is the solo travel of my life. A memorable trip at the lovely island #phuquyisland. I fell in love with this island and everything in it. When you come to Viet Nam, you should explore this beautiful island if you are a lover of the sea, if you love nature and love to eat seafood. Everything here is quite wild and rustic. Food is also very cheap. If you travel solo and want to have nice picture, you can bring tripod or book local guide to accompany with you.

Beautiful healing trip in Phu Quy Island
Phu Quy island is sincerely so serene.
Some people go to Phu Quy in order to heal themselves, while others come here in order to find motivations for their start over.
Food and beverages here are very cheap.
The road to Phu Quy is a little bit difficult (takes some hours), but it's just really worth it.
From the sand, the sea, the colorful pebbles, anything are just giving me a healing time.
I would love to earn more money to come here again to learn diving better. Had extremely great moment when I and my friend saw those lively corals. 🥺
Stay tuned for next time! Now I’m aiming to go to TXT concerts on October. Please wish me luck to successfully booking some vip tickets to see the babies better. 🥺🍀💕#summervacation #beachlife #naturalwonders #gooutside #beaches

Phu Quy Island - Vietnam
Around famous Mui Ne in Vietnam, there are many amazing places. One of the great places is Phu Quy Island. It is located southeast of Mui Ne (about 80 km).
Despite the fact that the island is located far from the mainland, it is quite crowded and has been fully inhabited for several centuries. There visitors will find plenty of hotels, restaurants and shops.
This is a place for a relaxing beach holiday. If you dream of relaxing quietly on the beach, getting away from the noisy world, enjoying a variety of fresh seafood, then Phu Quy Island is the perfect place to relax.
From the city of Phan Thiet you can get to Phu Kui by boat. The journey will take approximately two and a half hours.

Chuyện của Xíu
Phú Quý is a small island located about 100 km south-east of the city of Phan Thiết, Vietnam. The island contains three communes, with a population of 20,698 people. The island is home to Phu Quy Lighthouse (Hải đăng Phú Quý) situated in the north-west of the island and an abandoned military bunker on the eastern coast.
Phú Quý district comprises a total of ten islands, with Phú Quý Island being the largest. The island is 16.5 km² in area. The district is 100 km southeast of Phan Thiết, 150 km south of Cam Ranh, 120 km east of Vũng Tàu, 333 km northeast of Côn Sơn and 540 km west of the Spratly Islands. The highest point on the island is Mount Cam Dat, at 106 m. The north of the island is rocky, while the south consists mostly of sand.
Phú Quý is calling for domestic and foreign investors to invest in the island ideally to develop infrastructure, especially airports and hotels to serve tourists.
Transport routes connecting the mainland and Phú Quý island are limited. During calm seas, the journey by ferry can take up to six hours, limiting tourism. However, in mid-2010, the cooperative shipping company Fortune put into operation a mid-speed ferry, shortening travel time to Phú Quý island to approximately 2.5-3h.
The mid-speed ferry was stopped in 2015 and after a year was replaced with a ferry that takes 4 hours running alongside the 6 hour ferry. In 2018 the mid-speed ferry was reinstated and now travel to the island takes 2.5 hours in favourable conditions.

Phu Quy Island - the gem in Middle Vietnam
Phu Quy is one of the very beautiful islands in the Middle of Vietnam. Years ago, Phu Quy was a millitary zone but been open to public recently. You can see completely blue sky and ocean from here, with some spectacular views of fish farm, lighthouse or simply small old villages of lovely local people.
Getting there is a little bit hard. From Hochiminh City or Nha Trang, you catch a limousine or bus for 3 - 4 hours (from HCMC) or night bus (from Nha Trang), then buy a highspeed boat ticket from Phan Thiet harbor to the island. Getting the boat tickets is hard, you have to pre-book on Superdong website few days before depature, sometime - months, in peak season.
But what you get will be worth.

"The coral reefs, the temperature, the tour guides, they were all #AMAZING! The tour guides for our snorkel tour were amazing at showing us perfect coral reefs and very sensation to all swimming experience levels. The temperature was perfect and the captain of the speed boat was incredible at trying not to rock the boat too much on quite choppy waters (I myself get quite bad motion sickness and didn’t feel nauseous once!). The perfect tour to see live sea creatures and authentic Phu Quoc island. A must do!
