Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
I would like to call it the cherry blossom ceiling of Shanghai - Chenshan Botanical Garden
Although there are many places to enjoy cherry blossoms in Shanghai, the cherry blossom forest in Chenshan Botanical Garden will definitely amaze you. The sloping lawn with the color-healing white cherry blossoms is full of the gentleness of spring, and such a movie-like scene is unique in Shanghai.
Shooting location: Right side of Gate No.1
On the right hand side is the Cherry Blossom Avenue, which are all slopes with a certain degree of inclination, very 'Chenshan', and it is still a tool to avoid people when there are many people. Going inside, there is a cherry blossom station near the aquatic plant garden. There is also a small cherry blossom forest near the station, next to the park wall on the side of Chenhua Road. There are fewer people here, but the ground is relatively flat.
Near Gate No.1, there is also a cement white wall where you can sit on it, and you are surrounded by cherry blossoms.
It's just like the place in Hayao Miyazaki's anime
Chenshan Botanical Garden!!
Regret that I found this place so late
It's so beautiful! It's just like the place in Hayao Miyazaki's anime
And the landscape is well arranged
The park is very modern, not like the traditional kind of park
There is some design in it
And it doesn't restrict visitors at all
The scenery is super beautiful (autumn leaves are colorful 😍)
🎫The ticket is sixty yuan per person (worth it!!)
Time: close at five
It's a bit unfinished for one time, the park is very big!
Shanghai’s Gardens
#wecreate
Chenshan Botanical Gardens is a little further out of Shanghai’s main city centre but worth a trip to see it.
Tickets cost 60RMB for a whole day entry and the area is huge.
Picnic set up is recommended in this area as it’s calm and quiet with some locals flocking to pitch tents in the summer heat.
Visit each flower area and finish off with a trip through the enclosed ‘tropical’ forest.

Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden🤩
Don't miss the cherry blossoms in Tatsuyama this year! Tatsuyama has a huge area of cherry blossoms,
It's spectacular. Don't miss it.☺️
📍No.3888 Chenhua Road, Songjiang District, Gate 1 of Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden
⏰Bloom time: the end of February early March weekend to go, must be early!
🌸Cherry Blossom tips:
1. Early sakura is divided into Kakotsu Sakura and dye well Yoshino, Kakotsu Sakura is generally earlier than dye well Yoshino for a period of time.
2. In the picture, the front is Yoshino dyeing, and the back is divided into Kawatsu Sakura.
3. The Sakura Path of Chenshan Botanical Garden is very long. Turn right when you enter Gate 1, walk along the side of the road, and you will see the bus stop at the end.
4. The bus station is very Japanese style, suitable for shooting with telephoto lens
Hope you can take pictures of the beautiful cherry blossoms too!🥰

Photo dump | Thames Town in Shanghai 🍂❤️
Thames Town is a British-style town located in the Songjiang district of Shanghai, China. It was built in 2006 as a residential area, and it was designed to replicate the architecture and style of traditional English towns.
The town features a variety of English-style buildings, including shops, restaurants, pubs, and residential homes. Some of the most notable buildings include a replica of a church in Bristol, a town hall based on the one in Oxford, and a replica of a traditional English pub.
Thames Town has become a popular tourist destination in Shanghai, attracting visitors who are interested in experiencing a taste of British culture. It has also been used as a filming location for a number of movies and TV shows, both Chinese and foreign.
Despite its popularity, Thames Town has also faced some criticism from both locals and foreigners, who see it as a kitschy imitation of British culture that lacks authenticity. Nonetheless, it remains a unique and interesting destination for those looking to experience a slice of Britain in China.

A Slice of home in Shanghai
#urbanexplorer #tripblazers #china
I was feeling a little homesick, so we decided to travel to this little-explored place in Songjiang district of Shanghai. Thames town is a tiny replica of and English village, complete with church square, telephone boxes, and pubs!
There were loads of couples there taking wedding photos which made the trip even sweeter. We recommend spending time in the bookstore which has a couple of hidden photo spots inside.

EscapeToSerenityWithLewis Shanghai Film Park Tickets 🎬✨
It is a film studio, and the streets of old Shanghai are very beautiful. There are few people there on weekdays, so you can experience the feeling of being in Shanghai at that time. If you are lucky, you can meet the crew rehearsing. 😎
Recommended to visit for tourist. It's a great experience to travel back in time with all the old looking buildings and banners. Many people shoot wedding photos there and the place look beautiful.
You can take many good photos there and there is also a place where you can watch a short performance performed by locals. Also a small building where you can see the old things. 👀
They also have a working tram where you can have a ride. It's slow though but it's a fun experience. Very recommended place. 🍂✨

Zhongshuge Bookstore Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Stunning bookstore
#tigeryear2022
This amazing architectural entrance to Zhongshuge Shenzhen has seen thousands of influencers flock to the store, including myself. Designed by Li Xiang from X+Living Studios, the swirling staircase is not just ornamental - it also serves as a bookcase in parts.
There is plenty of room throughout the entire store to sit and read, and the four different rooms provide different perspectives on the reading experience.
The use of black marble throughout the stores often contrast with the children's reading room - full of soft blues and pinks, plush furnishings and wooden chairs.
Shanghai's most beautiful bookstore, belonging to the urban literary landmark! Gao Yan value punch card
If each bookstore, is the city's search password, then Zhong Shuge is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful imprint. For example, the keynote when entering the door is mainly gray, and the light and simple ins wind. The bookshelf was divided into "Nine Palaces", painted with European paintings and planet figures of retro texture.
Further inside, it is a mirror space. On the star-studded ceiling, there are countless collections of books, and simple and quiet steps. You don't have to look for a soft stool or a chair, just under the soft, faint warm yellow light, you can enjoy the slightest reading.
When you are in Zhongshuge, if the mirror is a folding space, then the book is the knowledge forest. They complement each other and become the ocean of truth and wisdom.
Tips: There are a lot of tourists taking pictures on weekends, especially between 11 am and 3 pm, and between 6 and 9 pm. If you want to take photos of people who are less beautiful and literary, you can make good use of the "mirror effect" and try to punch in before the working day.
I went to Shanghai last time and stayed here for a long time. I don't know if I like reading books, or I like it here h
Address: No. 930, Thames Town, 900 Sanxin North Road, Songjiang District
Zhong Shuge is known as the hall of books. I like to read books and buy books. I have to run a bookstore every time I go to a place. Speaking of the bookstore friends recommended Zhong Shuge, here is not only quite stylish, but also suitable for taking pictures. On the first floor, it is the most ideal appearance of human reading, and the second floor is the scene of Heaven Reading. It satisfies the needs of scholars and meets the requirements of passers-by photography. The soul of the entire bookstore, which was created by the book, is full of vitality. Equipped with a small number of drinks, it is only for the reader to run the throat. As soon as you enter the bookstore, you can see the books displayed under the glass floor in an orderly manner. If you look carefully, you will find books behind the stairs leading to the second floor. On the second floor, like many new bookstores that have appeared in these years, tables, chairs, sofas, and coffee bars have been set up in response to the trend.

Songjiang quest: Saizeriya
As many knows, Saizeriya is a common Italian-like restaurant franchise in Beijing and Shanghai. Originally from Japan (this is new information for me 😯), Saizeriya can be found in many countries now, including China and Singapore.
This Saizeriya branch in Wanda Plaza was beautiful. You can find almost same food in any Saizeriya restaurants, however this branch was out of the ordinary. Inner decoration was fancy, even had a romantic ambience. Perfect for sharing a glass of wine with your seafood 🦞 pasta, to visit with your family or your group of friends.
Saizeriya seeks to provide “good food at affordable prices”, reason why it’s the favorite location for many (specially students). Although, I was surprised to see how my Chinese friends are not such of big fan of this franchise mostly tagged for them as “foreign food”. Well, foreigners love the open drink bar 🥤. 😂

Songjiang quest:Never’s enough ice cream
DQ Ice Cream shop is located in third floor of Wanda Plaza. So many delicious options for coffee, cold drinks, ice cream 🍨 and cakes 🍰. And way more affordable than other ice cream/cake shops around.
Cakes are gorgeous, extremely sweet (for my taste). Chocolate cake and vainilla ice cream is an amazing blend. Some tropical fruit options look very refreshing for this summer hot days, specially mangoes 🥭 and coconuts🥥 . Just try to eat fast so your ice cream won’t melt 🍦.
This particular shop has one of the nicest decoration I have seen for a DQ shop. The Shanghai sign using paper ice cream cups was very creative.

Songjiang quest: Shop & Tech
During my week in Songjiang, had the pleasure to visit Wanda Plaza branch. This shopping 🛍 mall complex is located in Gold Street, and gives you a fancy and high tech look you might be missing in your summer.
Day or night, Wanda Plaza is a must visit location in Songjiang. Probably, the biggest shopping center in the area. So many fancy clothing stores, jewelry, children areas to play and have fun as family. Most restaurants are located in third floor, and you have so many great options to chose from Korean, Thai and food from different areas of China.
The big screens in the roof are captivating, the cars expo in F1 and even some area where young people just show their skills in urban dance. There are some amusement games or stands either inside or outside Wanda Plaza, depends of the day you can see it at it’s best expression.
I can assure you, not a place where you can get bored.

Songjiang quest: Ice cream drinks
During my week in Songjiang, had the pleasure to visit Wanda Plaza. So many stores and shops to enjoy!! This shopping 🛍 mall gives you a fancy and high tech look you might be missing in your summer.
Haagen-Dazs shop in 1F was extremely nice, with a fancy ambience and delicious options for this summer. You can chose between a Mojito cocktail 🍹/bubble tea with liquor, an ice coffee (also resembled bubble tea), several cold cakes 🎂 🍰 or many ice cream options you can chose from (and select your own style).
My “Mojito” was quite tasty and refreshing. Cakes are absolutely gorgeous, look like art you don’t want to eat. Ice cream cones are also beautiful, but feel like they are going to melt before you’re able to eat them. Specially during a hot July day.
