Weimar, located in Thuringia, Germany, was already filled with romantic colors before I set off. It is the center of German Classicism, the home of Goethe and Schiller, and a city rich in art and culture. However, once I set foot on this land, Weimar brought me far more than I initially imagined. It is not only a sediment of history but also a perfect blend of modern vitality and natural tranquility. My journey to Weimar began on a crisp autumn afternoon. The moment the train pulled into Weimar station, I was captivated by the scenery: tidy streets, colorful houses, and the historic old town, everything was so fresh and natural. Stepping out of the station, I felt like I was in a beautiful oil painting, with a unique artistic atmosphere in the air. My first stop was the city center of Weimar, the most bustling area and a microcosm of Weimar's history. The architectural styles here are diverse, with grand Baroque buildings, elegant Classical buildings, and stylish modern buildings. The blend of these architectural styles showcases Weimar's rich history and cultural heritage. I strolled through the streets of the city center, admiring these exquisite buildings and feeling the history and culture of Weimar. The central square was always lively, with people resting and chatting, and children playing, presenting a vibrant scene. Goethe's House (Goethehaus) was one of the highlights of my trip. This building is not only Goethe's residence but also a sanctuary of German classical literature. I visited every room in Goethe's House, feeling the environment where Goethe once lived and worked. The furnishings in Goethe's House are well-preserved, making me feel like I had returned to Goethe's time, experiencing his lifestyle and thoughts. In Goethe's study, I sat quietly, feeling the inspiration Goethe once had here, filled with awe and emotion. Schiller's House (Schillerhaus), like Goethe's House, is also one of Weimar's famous attractions. This building was where Schiller lived and worked, and it is another sanctuary of German classical literature. I visited every room in Schiller's House, feeling the environment where Schiller once lived and worked. I spent a lot of time visiting these attractions, feeling Weimar's history and culture, filled with surprise and emotion. Weimar is not only a city of history but also a city of nature. Weimar is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, green fields, dense forests, and clear rivers, adding vitality and energy to the city. I spent a day strolling through the parks and forests around Weimar, admiring the beautiful scenery along the way, feeling the freshness and tranquility of nature. In the forest, I breathed in the fresh air, feeling the tranquility and harmony of nature, filled with joy. In Weimar, I also tasted local specialties. I enjoyed a sumptuous dinner at a traditional German restaurant, with delicious local dishes and friendly service. The restaurant's atmosphere was very cozy, making me feel the hospitality of the people of Weimar. After dinner, I enjoyed a cup of rich coffee at a local café, watching the quiet streets outside the window, feeling the leisure and comfort of the city. What touched me the most during my trip to Weimar was the friendliness and warmth of the people of Weimar. Whether it was the restaurant staff or the residents I met on the street, they were all very friendly to me, offering help and chatting with me warmly. This warmth and friendliness made me feel that Weimar's charm lies not only in its history and culture but also in its people. My trip to Weimar was a timeless artistic feast, an intoxicating cultural journey, and a touching humanistic journey. Weimar, this city full of classical charm, deeply attracted me with its unique charm, making me reluctant to leave. I will always remember this unforgettable journey and the emotions it brought me. Not the big cities but small beautiful historical towns are aplenty in Germany . Just 2 of the nice towns we visited by train. People are nice friendly and food is good . Many festivals around the year which enchant the local Germans and lure many visitors from around Europe to visit . Many other towns near and around Frankfurt like Wolfsburg and Erfurt , Bamberg full of rich culture and historical buildings. Just take the train and see all the beautiful towns

It's difficult to describe in words the sadness one feels at a place like Buchenwald. To see the machinery of death erected by the Nazis, and to know, to the utter shame of humanity, that similar places continue to exist in the world today. No words befit the injustices of such a place. #triplocal
