The Laocheng'en Courtyard Homestay is located within Datong Ancient City and is accessible by car. Parking is easy to find within the alleyways, especially during the off-season. The homestay features a cozy courtyard and living room, and the rooms are tidy. We booked a twin room, which wasn't huge, but the bathroom was very spacious. The main draw for us was the excellent wet/dry separation in the bathroom. There's no elevator, though. The breakfast was well-prepared and satisfying. The staff were all very friendly; on our first day, they even provided tricycles for a spin around the ancient city! Overall, it was a great stay.

The stay was amazing!! The service impecable, location superb and lovely room! The Inn is located on a very central road close to the gate to the ancient city. Even though its very central, the rooms are in a back garden so its very peacefull and quiet. The room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable! They even have a small terrace with view of the skyline! But the best part was the service! The person working at the teception supported us with anything we asked, it felt like a piece of authentic chinese hospitality! I can only recommend this beautiful Inn to anyone visiting Pingyao!

Hotel no problem service are nice breakfast fascinating.But still a bad experience of my travel cuz the most terrible air conditioner ive ever seen in the big hotel.really big noise and can't control the temperature no matter the number on the conditioner always the same temperature made me can't sleep during the whole night.Bad experience......

The facilities are comprehensive and functional; the air conditioning provides excellent heating, and toiletries are fully stocked, ensuring a comfortable and reassuring stay. The staff are attentive and discreet, promptly responding to any needs, and the check-in/out process is efficient and hassle-free. The value for money far exceeded expectations!

Experience in this hotel was okay. hotel is a little bit dirty, looks old , the place for photography is the best especially at night. Staff was friendly,and helpful. location in the centre. hard to find location at this hotel. Rooms are not clean especially bathroom.

This hotel is right in the ancient city, on Beidajie Street, easy to find, and convenient for getting around. The room photos are pretty accurate. The rooms are located in a traditional courtyard, rustic yet elegant. The courtyard we stayed in was beautiful, newly renovated, clean, and hygienic. The owner called us in advance to ask about our arrival time and told us how to get to the parking lot. They even came to pick us up from the parking lot. We were traveling with elderly parents and children, and they enthusiastically helped us carry our luggage and push the wheelchair. The front desk staff also patiently explained the ancient city routes to me. Our room didn't originally include breakfast, but the owner specially provided it for us. Although simple, it was sufficient. We've stayed in many hotels during our road trip from north to south, and this one was the most humane. When we left, they even gave us local specialties as souvenirs. This trip to the ancient city truly allowed me to experience the Jin merchant culture; their way of doing business is genuinely different from what I've encountered elsewhere – gentle yet captivating. I sincerely wish that establishments like this will continue to thrive, allowing more people to experience truly 'heartfelt service' and the integrity and pioneering spirit of Jin merchant culture.

We checked into Yunman·Xi at 0930. We were afraid that we would not be able to find the hotel at night, so the lady came to pick us up at the parking lot of the ancient city bar. It is very convenient to park and take a taxi there. Facilities: There are not many rooms in the hotel. Each room has a private pool where you can put hot spring water for hot spring bathing (P6). There are curtains so you don’t have to worry about them showing through. It’s very comfortable. You can shower directly next to the pool. There is a Xiaoai classmate in the room, which can intelligently control the air conditioner and TV with voice. Environment: The hotel is decorated in a very bourgeois style, with a koi pond and camping chairs (P7-9, 11). It is very comfortable to drink tea and enjoy the breeze. There is an observation deck on the second floor. We checked in at night, and the night view was beautiful. During the day, refer to P8, 12-13, 1001🇨🇳 is also in time for the National Day When I checked out, I happened to encounter a truck transporting hot spring water (P14). The proprietress said that the store is close to the parking lot and transports it at least twice a day. The hot spring water released from the hot spring is all hot spring water. The temperature when it is transported is 50 degrees +, lower left corner It is the passage for transportation into each room of the hotel. It is imported from the truck with a hose. We were so busy watching this process that we forgot to take pictures hahh😂 I would also like to mention Yunman·Xi’s mascot (P15) - September (named September because they picked up a stray cat in September). It is a super beautiful silver gradient folded ear and very cute. Small, not afraid of life I stayed for one night and had a good rest. The proprietress and the ladies were very nice. I recommend everyone to choose their home and go to the hot springs again next time♨️

During our trip in China this was the most memorable Hotel. The hotel was really nice in the ancient city near the Prince residence and City Walls. The building has a traditional patio inside (covered) with a pool with fishes. The room was big, the bed very comfortable, nice bathroom, the room got all we needed for the stay (fridge, tea set etc...). Everyting vas very clean and tidy. The owner is really nice and caring, she came to pick us up at the station even if was late in the evening ad took us back at the check out. She helped us with our visit and suggested really good restaurants. The breakfast is in the nice patio, it is very good and traditional. I really hope I can visit again, I will surely suggest the hotel to my friends or anyone visiting Datong. Thank You!!!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel in Pingyao. The location, right inside the old city walls, was perfect for exploring the ancient town on foot and it was very quiet in the evening, ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and nicely heated, which was especially important given the cold temperatures outside. A special mention goes to the owner and his wife for the excellent pick-up service from the train station, which made my arrival smooth and stress-free.

On my way back to Beijing from a self-driving tour, I stayed in Xinzhou. I searched and searched on Ctrip, as I go every year, so I've gained experience. I'm an environmental designer, so I'm very concerned with visuals. I chose a brand name or something beautiful. After more than 20 days, I was exhausted and wanted to choose a hot spring hotel. I started looking at pictures of each one on Ctrip and finally chose the Futian Huayu Hot Spring Hotel. It was such a great value and amazing! The service was great! The hot springs were amazing and clean! This hotel is truly built with nostalgia in mind! I've decided to make a special trip to stay for three days next time and explore the old city!
