This was my third time staying here, and I’m happy to say the property is still very well maintained. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the overall stay experience has been consistently pleasant each time I visit.
Another great advantage is the location, there are many restaurants and eateries within a short distance from the hotel, making it very convenient to find good food. During this stay, I tried a Japanese restaurant nearby and it was really good.
I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re staying at Citadines Tanjung Tokong Penang. Looking forward to coming back again in the future!
Had a smooth check in and got my room fast (probably coz i checked in around 5.30pm). Room was spacious and well equipped. It has a functioning kitchen with induction cooker, oven, dishwasher, pots pans, knife, cutting board, can opener, kitchen scissors, utensils, plates bowls including serving plates/bowls, strainer, dishwashing soap and sponge, dish rag and dish rack. A washer dryer (need to bring own detergent), microwave etc. Master bath is equipped with bath tub with sea view. Kiddies pool has slides and is covered with canopy so kids can play all day while being shaded. Place is nearby to main attractions and malls and the gurney drive is a great place to jog. Below has a small connecting mall with nice cafes. I will definitely come back here again
The hotel is quite good overall. The room is a bit small but still comfortable, clean, and nicely designed. The air conditioning works very well and cools down quickly, even though the weather in Penang is quite hot. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The only downside is that the location is a bit far from the old town. I personally enjoy walking, so it wasn’t an issue for me. In return, the area is very quiet and close to a local market with plenty of delicious and affordable food options.
Traveling with family, the room size was adequate, and the facilities were comprehensive. Although we didn't get a corner room as requested, it was quiet enough, so our rest was satisfactory. The clothes rack couldn't be removed for separate use, which was a bit inconvenient.
There was no bottled water in the room, but there was a water dispenser in the hallway. The hotel had a pool, but we didn't use it.
The location was great, with two shopping malls a short walk away, making it easy to buy things. It was also not far from the '7th Street Pasar' (market). Most attractions were within walking distance, and taxis were readily available.

It's OK, cost-effective, and a good place to stay. It's very nice. The owner is good, not bad, and suitable for a budget-friendly trip!
I recently stayed here with my partner. It’s an apartment service hotel that truly feels like my home . The unit was spacious and fully equipped with a kitchen and even a washing machine, which made my stay so convenient even for a night.
The swimming pool here also spacious and open until night, so i have time to enjoy a relaxing swim in the evening after check in.
In morning, I went down for breakfast at the lobby cafe. It was simple but cozy. The best part for me was the balcony with a beautiful sea view. Plus, it’s only about 5 minutes from the shopping mall, making it super convenient. Definitely a great place to stay in Penang!
I booked a stay at Citadines at the very last minute of my holiday, and it turned out to be a highlight of my trip. I opted for the unit with a separate living room, bedroom, and bathroom—the layout was incredibly spacious and offered plenty of room to move around.
The facilities were top-notch; having an in-room washing machine and microwave made the stay so much more convenient. My only minor gripe was having to request a dental kit (toothbrush/toothpaste) from the front desk myself. If those were already provided in the room, the experience would have been absolutely perfect. Still, a highly recommended spot for anyone seeking comfort and functionality!
This guesthouse was a fantastic surprise! The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. I was absolutely amazed that an entire wall was filled with real books – so cool! 😄 It's a great spot for photos; the sea view from the courtyard is stunning. If you're feeling lazy, you don't even need to leave; you can just sit there, relax, eat, and drink. It was also quite convenient for smoking and having a drink in the courtyard. Even the road outside the entrance made for great photos. My husband and I absolutely loved it. The service was excellent; the owner is Chinese and gave us tons of recommendations for food, drinks, and activities via WeChat. We were able to check in early and even got complimentary breakfast. A Grab ride down the hill only costs a few dollars, and there are plenty of food options and Batu Ferringhi Beach. For the price, compared to a hotel, it's incredibly affordable and comes with breathtaking views. I have zero complaints! I'll definitely come back if I have the chance and will recommend it to family and friends. Wishing them great success!
Great stay & peaceful environment. Thks Ardour Lodge if gt a chance will return back stay again.
Nice room with external private bathtub & landscape pool.
Although the photos and reality were different, the window-less rooms were still adequate for comfortable staying. We stayed for 3 nights in a level 4 deluxe double room and level 3 double room, all ensuite with bathrooms. Due to the lack of exhaust fans and windows, the internal bathrooms can cause dampness and a smell but that was ok for us. A pet friendly Guesthouse (many of our neighbours had dogs but they were very quiet and well managed). Now managed by 3 service staffs who do everything. A retro but working games machine at the ground floor was a delight for my kids. Free laundry & dryer and a simple fitness corner are useful amenities. The highlight is actually the location of this guesthouse - within walking distance, there are numerous dim sum outlets, night time street foods, noodles shop, bakery and a sports bar just across the road. Will stay again, anytime, for my next visit.
