The location is perfect! There’s a local food court and several eateries just a short walk away, which makes it super convenient to grab a meal anytime. From hearty local dishes to quick snacks, everything was easily accessible without needing to travel far.
The room was clean and spacious, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a small living area included—it added an extra touch of comfort and space to relax after a long day.
Minor downside: The hotel is located near a busy junction, so do expect traffic jams during peak hours if you’re driving.
Overall, I had a great experience. The hotel was comfortable, well-maintained, and in a very convenient spot. Would definitely recommend to travelers looking for comfort and easy access to food options.
1. Excellent Location
The hotel is very centrally located in George Town, making it easy to walk to popular attractions, food stalls, shopping malls (Komtar, 1st Avenue), and places like Hin Bus Depot.
For food lovers, there are many local eateries, spas, and convenience stores nearby.
2. New & Attractive Design
The property feels modern and fresh; many reviewers liked the mix of heritage facade with clean, contemporary interiors.
Rooms are well decorated and generally clean. Beds, pillows, and linen get positive marks.
3. Amenities & Conveniences
There’s a rooftop (or on-roof) pool (though small) and a gym. These provide nice options to unwind.
Free‐flow water dispensers in hallways, complimentary coffee/tea and snacks in the lobby are much appreciated.
The hotel is fairly clean, and staff are generally friendly & helpful.
The hotel is not in the most central area of George Town, and there isn’t much nearby, so you will mostly need to travel by Grab. Other than that, the hotel is sparkling clean and new. There’s also a nice coffee and tea corner near the reception. I felt relaxed and enjoyed my stay.
A bit of a let down for a 5 ⭐ facilities.
Breakfast : 3/5
Bed : 1/5 (Very hard, had to ask the housekeeping to add on a topper)
Facilities : 3/5 (a bit disappointed on the creaking sound of the door)
Parking : 2/5 (basement parking is not stroller friendly)
Kids room : 0/5 (there’s a smoking odour in the room maybe from the ventilation)
Front desk : 1/5 (lack of professionalism, complain from 7am, attended at 8pm,the staff that help me checked in couldn’t speak in English properly and not even in Malay, very let down for a 5 ⭐)
I will rate it as good value for money if it wasn’t a 5 star hotel for the overall amenities which are much more available than a normal boutique hotel.
But overall not worth the price paid.
Background, I am a heavy traveler and had more than 20 trips per year on hotel alone so I believe my opinion is justified knowing the differences. We even extend the trip by booking at their partner hotel (boutique) and had better experience in fact.
Hope they can look into this😌 but I thanked the housekeeping and maintenance for attending to our needs 🩷
We loved this house very much! Rarely find this kind of BNB actually especially during last minute booking.
It was a great option especially for family with kids.
What we loved about this house:
1) Great setup of bedrooms with playground and variety of toys.
2) Got 4 queen beds and comfortable pillows. Cozy bedrooms.
3) Equipped with electrical items (hairdryer, iron + iron board, microwave, kettle, fridge, cooking pans, plates, utensils, etc.)
4) Huge tv projector and cozy sofa.
5) Bathrooms with toothbrush sets, tissues.
6) Very nice view especially at night.
7) Convenient parking, very helpful and attentive staff & security.
8) Easy check in and early check out.
9) Housekeeping is available upon request.
10) Food servings option is also available.
Some improvement suggestions:
1) Bathroom needs to be thoroughly cleaned (toilet bowl, corner of the wall).
2) Limited lifts per floor. Only 3 lifts for 41 floors. But still manageable to get lift on time.
3) May be better if can install wall fan in the bedrooms (to dry out the damp floor).
4) Also, much better if the unit has a washing machine option.
Overall, we were very happy with the stay. Once in a lifetime for having great BNB like this. Very recommended!
The mattresses are a sunken-in, meaning it needs to be replaced with new ones. . Not good for the backbone. Furthermore it was noisy upstairs (above floor) even though it’s past 1.00am.
Self check in. Instructions and key box code were sent by email. No issues.
Room was basic but clean. Stairs to loft bed have no railing so your balance has to be okay.
What I liked: it’s very near the beach (but be careful going down the steep steps with a rusting and questionable guardrail). And it’s also a minute’s walk from the nearby food place with many affordable options for dinner. Not far from the bus stop. Penang’s bus services are not bad.
What I didn’t like: the positions of the room lighting are poor, including the bathroom where the opaque shower curtain blocks the bathroom light, and the loft where the bare bulb is right above your head and glows even when off. I unscrewed the bulb in order to stop that. Also, not many breakfast options nearby.
Music from a nearby nightspot could be heard along with some firecracker type noises some nights, but these died down by about 10pm so not a problem for me.
In all, I would rate this place a solid 4/5 and I wouldn’t mind staying here again.
Although the photos and reality were different, the window-less rooms were still adequate for comfortable staying. We stayed for 3 nights in a level 4 deluxe double room and level 3 double room, all ensuite with bathrooms. Due to the lack of exhaust fans and windows, the internal bathrooms can cause dampness and a smell but that was ok for us. A pet friendly Guesthouse (many of our neighbours had dogs but they were very quiet and well managed). Now managed by 3 service staffs who do everything. A retro but working games machine at the ground floor was a delight for my kids. Free laundry & dryer and a simple fitness corner are useful amenities. The highlight is actually the location of this guesthouse - within walking distance, there are numerous dim sum outlets, night time street foods, noodles shop, bakery and a sports bar just across the road. Will stay again, anytime, for my next visit.
Great stay & peaceful environment. Thks Ardour Lodge if gt a chance will return back stay again.
Nice room with external private bathtub & landscape pool.

YYann YongSelf drive, easy to locate the apartment. Safe as there a friendly and efficient security not only safe guard the entrance of property but he also taking care of checking-in and out and also assist to manage any simple enquires. Nearby have 7-11 and seafood restaurant. Nearby malls too. Downside of the property is noisy, night time can hear shouting and screaming kids, inide unit need some refurbish. Love the view from the balcony, can see Penang bridge and beautiful sunrise. Afterall, for the price we paid, we should not ask for much, it is still a money for value stay.
