The stay was excellent, good interiors, spacious entrance foyer, restaurant & rooms. Rooms having excellent ambience & it was spotlessly clean & tidy. Bathrooms & toiletries & other room amenities were excellent. It was more than expected in this small town of erode. Loved to stay here on a business trip. Delicious food added to luxury.
As always everything was good from the beginning... the check in till check out. The breakfast which wasn't quite the usual during our last stay there were totally opposite this time... understood there was a face-lift refurbishment work carried out at the restaurant the last time and as such it was excuseable..This time around the hotel had exceeded our expectation for both the service standard and eloborate buffet breakfast readied for the guests. We would like to thank all the restaurant staff in particular the restaurant manager SK Allarakha for making every morning as a start of a pleasant day with all the courteous services extended to us by him and his lovely team..This has prompted my family to celebrate my 60th birthday in the morning of 16/1/2026 before their departure for flight.Thank you for a great and courteous service shown to my family and i.We will definitely choose to stay at the TRT again the next time around. Grand Chennai hotel with great location and hospitality. Live up to its name. I feel safe staying with family members in room 603 and 605. Thanks for the complimentary fine and delicious breakfast. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They helped me to carry my shopping bags to my room. I love Komal and Poushali both lovely receptionists at the front desk. The telephone operator is very kind to let me use the weighing scale. Live band and dance performance give a positve vibes.

Simple hotel with basic necessities covered. The decor of the hotel features vintage Bollywood posters and the hotel used to be a film set. Comfortable and aesthetic, with lots of international restaurants nearby. Infront of the hotel there is also lots of shopping opportunities available! Nice and affordable!
I had a very comfortable stay during my recent business trip. The hotel is well-located, making it convenient for meetings and travel. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were professional and attentive throughout my stay.

I have been staying in this hotel every time I visit Chennai! The location so ideal that you could just walk, take an auto or drive to pondy bazaar & T Nagar! I loved the smart room concept that it become my benchmark whenever I stay in any hotel!😜 Their variety of breakfast simply not to be missed!!!! My initial stay at this newly launched hotel was excellent. The modern facilities were in perfect working order, and the room was impeccably clean and comfortable. It was a promising start that convinced me to return. Unfortunately, my second stay was profoundly disappointing and raised several concerns. The first room I was assigned had a strong, unpleasant odor. While I appreciate the staff promptly moving me to a second room, it only partially resolved the issue, as a faint strange smell persisted. The second room had multiple functional problems: * Non-Functional Power:** The USB ports and power sockets on the wall faulty. * Inconsistent Hot Water:** The water heater took an excessively long time to heat up, disrupting my routine. * Purify water contamination:** There's particles and oil from the purify water. It seems contamination from central filter. Most alarmingly, at approximately 6 AM one morning, a **very loud alarm sounded from the door area.** This was highly disruptive and concerning, as it was unclear whether it was a security breach alarm or a triggered fire alarm. The lack of any immediate information or follow-up from the hotel staff regarding this incident left me feeling unsettled and concerned about the emergency protocols. While the front desk staff were helpful in changing my room, the combination of maintenance failures and a confusing safety alarm indicates a significant lapse in operational standards. For a new hotel, this is troubling. I hope this feedback is taken seriously to ensure the safety and comfort of all future guests.
Staff at the reception are nice and friendly, crews and bellboys helps with your stuff. However, got harassed by one staff at the bar. We were being forced to leave where we are seated to a sofa near the bar and embarrassed my friends while we are waiting for the coffee we ordered at the bar. Tirelessly, even to the point of heated argument he never stopped until I made myself clear that I am going to report him. I had been a guest for this hotel since 2019 and unfortunately treated like this. This staff must be removed for inappropriate action.
We stayed at this resort last weekend, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. Based on my stay, I have highlighted several positive aspects and a few areas for improvement. Positive Points • The resort has an excellent atmosphere, spread over nearly 1 km with lush greenery throughout. The internal roads are well-connected and well-maintained. • More than 10 shuttle services operate within the resort, making it very convenient to travel between different areas. Shuttle service is available right at your doorstep at any time, which is a major advantage. • The swimming pools for both children and adults are spacious and well-maintained. My kids thoroughly enjoyed their time there. • The children’s indoor play area is clean and well-organized — ideal for kids under 5 years old. • The rain dance and bullock cart ride experiences were fantastic. • The spa service was very good and relaxing. • The restaurants served delicious food, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of tasty options. Areas for Improvement • The rooms are slightly dated. When we first entered, there was a mild odor, but housekeeping responded promptly and freshened up the room. The bathroom tap was loose, but maintenance staff attended to it immediately and resolved the issue efficiently. • The spa reception could be a bit more responsive. Overall, we had a great experience, and my kids thoroughly enjoyed our two-day stay. I would definitely recommend this resort to others

A budget version of other Taj hotels. The first thing that strikes you is the reception desk is high, so you're forced to stand while checking in, whereas in other 5* hotels, there are seats on either side of a desk. Then there's no porter service, so you're meant to carry your own luggage to your room. The room itself is serviceable, and not up to the Taj mark. One of the closet doors had a loose hinge whose pin fell off. The part of the toilet bowl under water had a permanent yellow film. The hair dryer was a compact one that only had the heat option without cold air drying. That said, the service was quick, efficient and with a smile. The food was good, both breakfast and room service. If you know to expect a marked down experience at a lower cost than its more famous siblings in Chennai, then it's a good bet.
We were looking for hotels close the airport and found another Novotel at Chamiers. Beautiful interior and design. Clean room and bathroom. Reception staffs and housekeeping staffs were excellent in service. The location is perfect and closer to city centre. We are definitely returning to stay longer in the future. Highly recommended to everyone visiting Chennai 🙏
