Baolin Temple was built in the southern dynasty, for the south of the Liang Wu Emperor Xiao Yan to create a royal monastery. After several damage and reconstruction, the existing Temple was expanded on the basis of the previous three temple houses, including the Temple of Heavenly Kings, the Temple of Daxiong, the Temple of Luohan, the Temple of the Buddha, the Temple of the Sutra, the Temple of the Zhaitang and other temples.
