Erwang Temple Review

In the Dujiangyan Scenic Area, from the Yuzui Water Dividing Dike to the east bank of the canal, not far from the Anlan Bridge Cable Bridge Showroom is the Erwang Temple. The layout of the Erwang Temple is rigorous, and the magnificent building complex with a quiet environment is divided into two sides in the east and west. Dongguan is a garden area, and Xiguan is a temple area. The whole temple is a wooden structure. The whole building layout is not bound by the central axis, and it depends on the natural geographical environment. It is built on the mountain, stacked and built, with floors, undulating and orderly, twisting and deep, and the ladder turns back to the wall. The Erwang Temple was originally Wangdi Temple. When the emperor Qi Ming Dynasty, he built Dujiangyan to commemorate Li Bing and his son Erlang. After the expansion, Wangdi Temple was renamed Chongde Temple. After Song, Li Bing and his son were sealed as kings, and this temple was renamed the Erwang Temple. The "Dujiangyan Irrigation Area Map" drawn at the end of Qing Dynasty on the wall in front of the temple is a very precious historical data. In the six major temples, the two kings of the main temple are dedicated to the god of three eyes and two Lang, with teak carving Yang Erlang; The old king's palace is dedicated to Li Bing and his wife; the old king's palace is named because of the old son, so it is equipped with two temples of Qinglong and Baihu; the three officials of the palace are the three officials of the heavens, the earth and the water; the upper and lower floors of the temple are the gods of the gods of the martyrs, and the king's spirits are the gods of the martyrs. There are also the temple of the city, the temple of the land, the palace of the jade emperor, the temple of the niece, the womb, the uterus, the temple of the dinggong, the temple of the mother, the temple of the kuixing pavilion, the temple of the dragon, etc. Erlang god and Li Bing live in the temple and the second temple, in the core area of the temple of the second king. This is the place of the main sacrifice of Erlang God, and the ancestral temple of Erlang Temple, while the Fulongguan in Lidui Park is the main sacrifice of Li Bing.

During the Warring States period more than 2,000,300 years ago, Qin Guo made preparations for the reunification of the motherland, took a fancy to the fertile land of the land, wanted to use the land as a large rear for the supply of grain and grass, and sent Li Bing as Tai Shou, Zhen Shou County. Li Bing came to the land, asked the locals, summed up the laws of water treatment "six-character trick" and "eight-character motto", and led the local people to build the great project of Dujiangyan. By this point, the rushing and roaring Lijiang River became tame, obediently flowing into Chengdu, irrigating farmland, Chengdu Plain from then on, no longer hungry, became a rich "country of heaven". Li Bing and his son were thus honored as the "Lord of the Lord" and built the "Two Kings Temple" to enjoy the incense of the future. Today, we commemorate Li Bing and his son because Li Bing is the official and benefits one side.

二王庙，是纪念都江堰工程的开凿者——李冰父子的祀庙，在岷江右岸的山坡上。祀庙背山面水，环境幽静，原来是纪念蜀王的望帝祠，后改为祀李冰父子。宋代之后，李冰父子被封为王，所以称为“二王庙”。二王庙初建于南北朝，现存建筑是清代重建。二王庙内石壁上嵌有李冰以及后人关于治水的格言：深淘滩，低作堰，被称为"治水三字经”。庙内还有李冰和儿子二郎的塑像。大殿东侧茶楼是一座临崖悬空的吊脚楼，可以供游客喝茶。后殿右侧有画家张大干、徐悲鸿等人的碑刻。二王庙香火鼎盛，每年的农历6月24日至26日，都会在这里有庙会活动。
