Gaomiao Temple of Zhongwei Review

Visited the Gaomiao Temple of Zhongwei with my friends and we had the best time. We became celebrities 😂 but it was such an amazing experience. The temple is beautiful and there are lots of places to take photos

Zhongwei Gaomiao is located on the high platform (including the security temple under the high platform) built on the north of Chengbei ． in Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It is rumored that it was built in the Ming Yongle period (1403－ 1424), and has undergone the construction and renovation of the generation. It has become a large-scale ancient building complex in the Qing Dynasty, showing the style of Ningxia ancient architecture. It is famous for the "magic of the desert" and is one of the two major landscapes in Zhongwei.

Very exquisite, Buddha statues are lifelike. Free, but we spent 70 yuan to buy the explanation, more interesting. 500 Luohan is designed and carved by Chinese people, but it looks like the face characteristics of India's west. Various animal and plant artifacts have meanings. The archway built in the Qing Dynasty, Buddha and Confucianism converged. There are also some jade Buddha statues sent by Myanmar, and the characters are slim and beautiful. Although I rarely go to the temple, this is the most exquisite I have seen. The carving gallery is very vivid and not perfunctory. Of course, I like temples, I also recommend Niushou Mountain in Nanjing, and the Buddha's Land Palace is also beautiful. Gao Temple has a Hell Palace, which is relatively cold. You have to wear more in summer. The king and punishment are allusions.

Zhongwei Gao Temple is a key cultural relics protection unit in the country. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and Yongle years. It has become a large-scale ancient building complex in the Qing Dynasty. It is rumored that Zhongwei used to have the grandness of 9 temples and 18 temples, but the high temple is towering, high-steel, and superb, so it is called the high temple. In 1963, it was approved to open as a Buddhist activity place, and the monks lived in it, offering more than 600 honors of bronze casting, jade engraving, wood carving, mud-plastic, and holy statues, and was selected in the list of the treasures of the "2000 Years of Chinese Buddhism".

The temple is 29 meters high, vacated and uprooted, and is magnificent. Unfortunately, it is being repaired here, and visitors are prohibited from boarding, and they can only stand below and look up. It is said that the highest floor of the main building, looking at the scenery of the south and north, the desert, oasis, the Yellow River, the Great Wall, is simply a magnificent and light giant Chinese painting.
