Geisel Library Review

加利福尼亚大学圣迭戈分校加利福尼亚大学圣迭戈分校（University of California, San Diego），简称UCSD，是世界顶尖的公立研究型大学，位于美国圣迭戈北郊的富人社区拉荷亚（La Jolla），隶属于著名的加州大学系统，在多家权威大学排名中长年稳居世界前二十，被誉为公立常春藤名校。坐落在La Jolla海滩边的主校园很大，占地约866公顷（约12990亩），环境优美，气候宜人，气温终年保持在16到26摄氏度之间，坐拥绝妙的海岸风景。主校区的中心建筑是极富特色的标志性建筑-盖泽尔图书馆（Geisel Library）。

尽管通常不喜欢野兽派建筑，但这是一个例外。它可能是校园里最有特色的建筑。它于1970年竣工，为了纪念奥黛丽和西奥多·苏斯·盖斯（Theodor Seuss Geisel），后者是儿童读物的著名作者，以苏斯博士的名字命名，于1995年更名为Geisel。他们是图书馆的慷慨捐助者，并始终提高了素养。

A very distinctive library, the building looks very impressive.

The University Library of San Diego is the main library of UCSD. It is a representative building of rough and futuristic. Dr. UCSD, who brought me here, told me that students at the university like to joke about the building called Space ship. Although the above ground part of the building is very magnificent, the main part is actually underground. The entrance to the library is also underground. The above ground part is mainly a library and a small study room. However, because the library is built on the mountain, the view of the study room in the northeast corner is great! Of course, be quiet. What is really interesting is that there is a Snake trail from the east side of the library to the library, which, through the mosaics laid, ultimately makes up a snake. Near the snakehead, a very small garden surrounded by green plants called Eden, is a place for students to think. It is intended that humans gain knowledge for Satan's temptation to become snakes and are eventually evicted from Eden, but humans will continue to work hard to gain knowledge. Interestingly, in the middle of the small garden Eden, there is also an apple tree.
