It's not a big place, but it's also very prosperous. Many people, very Japanese-style buildings, a lot of local people come.

4/5Excellent
Although relatively in the center of Kyoto, this temple felt very off the beaten track. True it's not very big or spectacular, but I loved the feeling of just stumbling onto it and being the only visitor there. I couldn't get any information but it seemed like it was a shrine dedicated to wild boars or pigs. The lady tending the shrine was welcoming.
