L'Acolyte de L'Insolite Review

My fiancée and I happened to stumble upon this restaurant whilst on our romantic trip to Paris and finding this place has been the highlight of our stay! We were welcomed in by really friendly and smiley staff who sat us down, enjoyed a nice drink and were quickly intrigued by their menu. We went for a 3 course meal which was absolutely delicious, the food felt like it should have been priced higher, especially as on previous nights we ate in other bigger restaurants and paid a lot more for what, in my opinion, was a lower standard of quality than this place. The wine recommended with our food was also fabulous, I couldn't recommend this place more and will certainly be coming back when we return to Paris.

After eating at some very highly rated restaurants, including a Michelin starred restaurant, while in Paris, we happened upon this little gem. It is a small, trendy, bistro with excellent service, reasonable prices and phenomenal food. The bull carpaccio was delicious, and the braised beef was tender and incredibly flavourful. Best foie gras dish we had in Paris as well. They did everything so well and had some surprising new flavours that worked so well. Cannot wait to go back! Wish we had gone here at the start of our week instead of the end!

Contemporary, cozy setting. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Food and wine suggested was excellent. The space was tiny, which added an intimate and comfy feel. The chef and server were so efficient, relaxed and fun to talk with. I felt I was dining with friends. We had such as nice time we returned to dine there one more time and again the service and food was great. Nice surprise- they change the menu from one day to the next with fresh, inventive, tasty, well-balanced meals. Just what you need at the end of a long day. If they were open on Saturday or Sunday- we would have returned a third time!
