Luoyang Old City Drum Tower, known as "Yuanlou", is located in the middle of the East Street of the old city. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and has been renovated several times in the past. It has a history of 350 years. It is one of the landmark buildings in Luoyang Old Town. The Bell and Drum Tower was used in the ancient times to report time during the day and report more at night. The foundation was built with large blue bricks into a high-rolling platform of Sanzhangyu. The arched coupon door under the platform was a pedestrian passage, a five-foot-wide, and a two-foot-high. There were three feet of steps to climb the stairs on both sides of the coupon platform. Above the arch ticket gate, the east end is inscribed with a stone Yin inscription "on the day"; the west end stone is "Zhanyun", all are shu. Most of the streets were local residents. When you come here, you can really feel the life atmosphere of Lao Luoyang.
