We had a really great meal at Queen Cafe. The stuffed capsicum curry was incredible and the chapattis are the best we have had in India so far. The famous pumpkin curry is delicious too. The family are so friendly and welcoming - the daughter Meenu speaks amazing English and is happy to answer any questions about Indian culture and life. We learnt a lot during our meal! Our friend was ill and Meenu even gave him some medicine free of charge. Great place, would definitely recommend.

Queen Cafe is lauded by Lonely Planet and Rough Guides. But while out meal was nice, it was far from amazing, and the portions a bit small. Still, the prices are very reasonable, the family atmosphere wonderful. Children, parents and grandparents all dote on customers every whim, usually before the whim has occurred to them, so expect to buy more than you planned.
