"This stay at the Jianzhi Hotel in Urumqi was such a pleasant surprise, it absolutely deserves a five-star rating! The location is incredibly convenient, right next to Nanmen Metro Station. Across the street is Wanyancheng, and you can walk to the famous Xiaohe Prince restaurant in just two or three minutes. The Grand Bazaar is only a 10-15 minute walk away, making it super easy to explore, eat, and buy souvenirs. Getting to other city attractions or catching transport for your return journey is also a breeze. The room itself had a simple, clean, and refreshing style. It was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was super soft and comfortable, ensuring a really good night's sleep. Despite Urumqi's dry heat, the in-room air conditioning and fresh air system worked perfectly, preventing any stuffiness. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and there was even a mini-fridge. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and helpful throughout my stay. The value for money here is outstanding. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Urumqi!"

"The room features a panoramic glass window, allowing you to enjoy the grassland scenery right from your bed. On a clear day, you can even catch a glimpse of Sayram Lake. The room itself is very spacious, with excellent natural light and complete amenities. We also met a lovely, friendly black kitten at the camp. If you're visiting Sayram Lake and don't want to stay in a traditional hotel, I highly recommend this place. It's super convenient for watching both sunset and sunrise, and it's also very close to the scenic area."

EemdethuongFirst and foremost, this hotel accepts foreigners. The hotel is quite ok but not great. I booked a no-window non-smoking room (don’t do it, go for room with window) because I thought there is more chance people still smoke in non-smoking rooms with windows.
The first room they gave me, put the key card on and electricity didn’t work. Waited for them to check with no result so I was relocated to another room. It’s non-smoking but I can clearly smell the smoke. Took 2 days for the smoke smell to go away which is a pity.
The room is small but enough for a solo like me. Each floor they built 4 lines of rooms, the 2 middle lines stay wall-to-wall to each other and are the ‘no-window’ rooms. I would definitely recommend you to choose the room with window, because it means you don’t share a lot of ‘walls’ to other room and have a window to open at least for circulation if room is smelly or if room is too hot. In my case, my room smells smoke, and the room heater system only allows 34-37 degree celsius which is crazy! Very hot if turned on so I had to turn it off the whole time I stay at the hotel. Even though it is winter time, the whole hotel is already on heater. Unable to adjust room temperature is annoying because it means no air circulation. There is a blowing machine (similar to a fan) in the room but it is not efficient quickly enough. The room feels extremely suffocating. I did really wish for a window. Also because the no-window rooms share 3 walls with other rooms (not counting the upper floor), it’s more bad-luck chances for weird noise. In my case, I had to endure one whole freaking night with 2 loud Uyghur couples who cannot hold themselves back from banging the freak out and making all kinds of terrible terrible noise. Seems like no soundproof for these walls.

The breakfast was too simple; although the grapes weren't ripe yet, apricots, watermelons, and cantaloupes were already in season. As a fruit-producing region and a hotel under the Xinjiang Culture and Tourism Bureau, it should offer more distinctive and appealing breakfasts to attract tourists. The parking lot is large, and there were many tourists, especially in the hot weather; it would be advisable to provide more drinking water in the rooms.

GGuest UserTraveling with kids, the room was excellent and very clean. The front desk upgraded our room, which was a nice touch. We had a small issue, but the lovely lobby manager promptly helped us resolve it. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, and the robot delivering food was a fun and efficient feature. It's also very close to the ancient city, which is super convenient. If I come back to Kashgar, I will definitely choose this hotel again.

GGuest StefanieI spent one night at this hotel, and the experience of sleeping in a barrel was a great change of pace! The room was very well-equipped, offered many amenities, and the bed was comfortably cozy. The entire hotel grounds are vast and beautifully landscaped, perfect for leisurely strolls.
Regarding the location: The hotel is rather secluded. Nothing is within walking distance, so a car is essential. It takes about 10 minutes by car to reach the North Railway Station and about 25 minutes to the Ancient City of Jiaohe. The city of Turpan is about a 30-minute drive away.
Service & Food: Almost all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, one employee was quite unfriendly, but this didn't detract from the otherwise positive impression of the hotel. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection. The small shop where you can buy souvenirs is a convenient feature.
Note: The pools were unfortunately already closed in mid-October.

The room was meticulously cleaned, the bedding was soft, and the soundproofing was good, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The staff were friendly and responsive to any issues. There were many dining options nearby, and it was conveniently located for visiting places like Jiaohe Ancient City and Grape Valley. Having a comfortable and safe place to stay in the sweltering heat of Turpan significantly enhanced my travel experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Turpan.

The environment is excellent, and you can even see snow-capped mountains.
The soundproofing is superb; even with a bonfire party at night, the room was completely silent and peaceful.
The mattress was incredibly comfortable!! This deserves special emphasis!
The service was impeccable, with staff providing pick-up and drop-off. A blond young man and a tall young man in a down jacket helped us with our luggage. The front desk lady was also very friendly.
As an objective review, I do have a small suggestion: Kanas in September mornings can be very cold, and breakfast cooled down too quickly. Overall, though, the pros far outweigh the cons.

The hot spring experience was fantastic, and the water park was fun for both adults and kids. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the resort grounds were well-maintained. Guests also get discounts on Tianchi Lake tickets, which really helped with planning our itinerary. It's an excellent choice for a short getaway around Xinjiang, and overall, I'm very satisfied.
