1. The location is the best compared to many other hotels. Downstairs, there's a 7-Eleven, JR station, and souvenir shops, all within reach. Plus, there's a direct passage from beside the 7-Eleven straight to the hotel entrance. You don't have to drag your luggage through the snow from the JR station, and if you arrive by bus from the airport, it's less than a 5-minute walk.
2. The front desk staff are exceptionally good; they made an effort to communicate with me, patiently explaining every detail in a gentle voice. Moreover, during my stay, every morning when I left the hotel and every evening when I returned, the front desk staff would politely greet me – it was heartwarming. It made me miss Hakodate even after I'd moved on to Asahikawa. The cleaning ladies were also very kind and friendly when we spoke.
3. There are many great restaurants on the streets outside the hotel. My favorite izakaya and ramen shop were both nearby; I ate there for several days in a row without getting tired of it. And because of the hotel's excellent location, I could always just walk in without waiting in line.
I highly recommend this place for solo travelers. The single room was also very spacious, much larger than the one I had in Asahikawa, and very comfortable to sleep in. Every time I returned to the hotel and lay down, I fell asleep instantly. Plus, the window offered a beautiful scenic view (I forgot to take a picture).
Next time I visit, I feel like I'll only stay at Hakodate JR Inn...
The hotel boasts an excellent location, being close to JR station and within walking distance. It's right by the sea, with a seafood market just below, which makes breakfast convenient. There's also a convenience store nearby. The rooms are clean and tidy, with complete facilities, and offer beautiful sea views from the windows. The front desk service is great. My favorite part was the public indoor and outdoor onsen on the upper floor of the hotel, where you can soak while enjoying the sea view. Even the lounge area offers sea views – it's fantastic! Highly recommend this place! 👍
I stayed at this hotel for four nights during the Christmas holidays. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from JR Sapporo Station, and there's an airport limousine bus that drops you off right at the entrance, which takes about 80 minutes to 2 hours. For breakfast, you can choose between Western and Japanese options. The hotel also has an onsen (hot spring), and you can check the crowdedness level on the TV, which was usually not busy. After a bath, each person gets a free can of beer. There's a laundry room, but the machines are a bit old, and there are only three of them, with separate washers and dryers. During peak evening hours, it was often impossible to get a machine, so you need to plan your laundry time carefully.
Beautiful hotel with a moor onsen spa and sauna. However it is a 15-min walk from the station and shuttle service is limited. Lots of weddings and royal visit at this resort. Twin Room is spacious and comfortable. Walking distance to M fast food chain next door and Aeon shopping nearby. I would highly recommend it.
The twin room was quite spacious, with two 1.2-meter-wide single beds and enough space in between to get out of bed easily. On the other side, I could open my 30-inch suitcase. The price of around 1,000 RMB during the winter holiday, including breakfast, was acceptable. I think Ctrip had a package without breakfast for 600-700 RMB per night. However, those packages need to be booked in advance, which isn't suitable for a traveler like me who needs flexibility. One thing to note is that the duvet didn't have a cover, it was just a sheet over the duvet. It felt unhygienic (because the exposed part was the duvet itself, which isn't changed) and wasn't very comfortable. I was quite bothered by it, but since I was traveling with a child, it wasn't convenient to switch hotels. The heating was very strong, almost too hot for the duvet. The breakfast on the first floor was plentiful, mainly Asian-style.
An absolutely amazing hotel!! It's located directly opposite the JR station, which is incredibly, incredibly, incredibly convenient!!! The surrounding amenities are super handy, and the room was spacious, clean, tidy, comfortable, and warm. This was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to Japan. Plus, the breakfast was absolutely fantastic, especially the crab roe which was incredibly sweet and fresh. I genuinely love this hotel, highly recommend it!
Great room-only experience. The room was tidy, cozy, and perfect for resting after a long day. Everything was as described, and the stay was very comfortable. Highly recommended.
Amazing hotel. Close to the TV tower and the park. The train station is also not far away. It's convenient for when you have to walk with your luggage in the snow. Relaxing hot bath. Lavish breakfast with a lot of options. Outstanding service.
The only complaint is that the laundry service was closed for the holidays and there is no self service laundry in the hotel. The closest one was 20 minutes away.
The hotel is quite large, with several buildings. Upon check-in, the front desk staff explained everything, and we stayed in the South Wing. We checked in after 2 PM, took a short break, and then went for a hot spring bath. It's a nude onsen, so before entering, you grab a hand towel and bath towel, then store your phone and the bath towel. There are many pools with different functions, including outdoor hot spring pools.
When we returned from dinner, the staff had already turned down the beds. If you exit the hotel and turn right, Hell Valley is about a five-minute walk. Turning left, you can take a cable car to the Bear Ranch, also about five minutes away. There are quite a few restaurants near the hotel, but most of them close by 3 or 4 PM. Overall, it was a good experience.
I had really high expectations for the Noji-Kaze Hotel, especially considering the price tag of 4-5000 a night, with a 50 sqm suite going for over 6500. Plus, Ctrip listed it as one of Asia's top 100 onsen hotels, so I booked it without a second thought.
The hotel's public areas are indeed nice; the lobby is spacious, and the breakfast and dinner buffets offer a great variety of vegetables. The staff are generally competent, and basic English communication was possible. However, stepping into the room was a huge disappointment. The bedding and furniture must be at least 20 years old. Not only are they dated, but they're also poorly maintained, comparable to what you'd find in a 400-500 RMB hotel in China.
What's even more outrageous for an ”Asia's Top 100 Onsen Hotel” is that the bath on the 9th floor is only a few dozen square meters. The visibility was less than two meters due to dim lighting and heavy steam. Two-thirds of the area was completely obscured. I could only find a corner with slightly better lighting and soaked for 20 minutes before leaving. It's hard to imagine how dangerous it would be for elderly people or children to bathe there.
The room I stayed in on the second day was a 50 sqm suite. The furnishings were still old, and the layout felt impractical, a relic of an older era. The private bath for the second day's suite was on the second floor, also a mere 20 square meters. This is a far cry from what I'd expect from an ”Asia's Top 100 Onsen Hotel.”
It's also perplexing that such an expensive hotel doesn't even have a gym.
And despite mentions of airport shuttle service, I didn't see any available.
Overall, this hotel is not good value for money. Proceed with caution.
I also hope Ctrip's platform conducts more in-depth investigations.

Very Good
GGuest UserLocated next to Hokkaido University, it's about a 9-minute taxi ride from Sapporo Station, costing around NT$300, which is well worth it. The hotel boasts facilities comparable to a five-star hotel and is very spacious. Being an adult hotel, it has a motel feel with various dreamy lighting and a wide range of amenities. Shower gel is readily available at the counter, and all products are branded. There are also various supplements. The most surprising thing is the availability of L'Occitane cream and all-you-can-drink beverages, which is very affordable. They offer Colbes soda, iced water, hot coffee, and hot cocoa. You can also sing karaoke until midnight, and there are delicious stir-fries to order. It really feels like a ********* motel, with very luxurious facilities and a hot spring bath. Personally, I think the small taxi fare is well worth it.
GGuest UserThe hot springs were great. They offer mixed bathing and rental bathtubs, but I didn't feel brave enough to try them alone. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
This time, I stayed in the annex. They offer a variety of services, and although I nearly got lost between the new and main buildings, there were maps everywhere, which was great. There were also several restrooms, so I didn't have to go back to my room. Self-service soft serve ice cream, milk gelato, iced cafe latte, and matcha latte are available from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, so checking in at 3:00 PM is a great way to enjoy them. I was excited about the 24-hour all-you-can-drink katsugen and Nakashibetsu milk.
The meat for dinner was delicious, but I wanted it with rice. I'm sure the order of serving is fixed, but...
I wanted to eat it with meat, so I requested white rice (you could choose scallop kamameshi, chicken and mushroom kamameshi, or white rice), so I felt like I'd made a mistake. I wasn't worried about being alone, but they provided a private room, so I was able to enjoy the crab at my own pace.
I stayed here because I wanted to see owls, and luckily I was able to see one. I was lucky because apparently even if you stay for multiple nights you can't see them unless the timing is right. Even though they feed the owls, I've only ever seen them sleeping at the zoo, so I was impressed to see them catching fish with their paws and eating them. One day wasn't enough. Next time I'd like to stay in the winter.
CCeci ChoOne of the best onsen I must say. It’s very very near Shirahige Falls about 5 minutes walk in thick snow. But there aren’t any convenient shops or restaurants within reach. I guess you’ll need to drive. Limited public bus to reach the resort and it costs 660 yen. If you missed then you’ll need to get a taxi which cost about 8000 yen. We took the day trip around Biei which cost about 5500 per person to 8 locations around Biei and the last location you guess it right, it’s Shirahige fall. The tour bus driver very kind to drop us at the onsen resort
They served the best saisaki and breakfast. Be sure to get your stomach empty before you reach the premise for the dinner.
Kkishin214I had a great time. I booked a room on the top floor.
Business hotels are cramped, so I stayed overnight with a friend.
There was a sauna, karaoke, and a large TV.
It was also well soundproofed, so I could drink and make a lot of noise. I had a great time.
