It is a good hotel but a but far from town center, so better be there with own car. Not much facilities such as gym, swimming pool in the hotel, so definitely not for family staying. Dinner is from NZ$99 but can see stunning lake view. Recommends book with lake view.
Walked out onto the balcony and we were met with these stunning views.
The time that we visited (May) meant that it was slightly too cold to be out on the balcony for too long, but the views that we enjoyed out of the window were magnificent.
When the first arrived the lady on the front desk was very friendly, and helpful.
We had asked for a double bed and had been allocated two single beds. She quickly contacted the ladies from house keeping and they very kindly sprung into action to help rectify the situation.
The housekeeping staff were nice and pleasant, and the location was just right for us to get out and about visiting some of the local attractions like the Kiwi birdlife park.
The big plus about staying at the highview apartments was having a parking space. When you visit queenstown you'll soon find out that in some places finding a parking space is like gold dust.
Hotels in Queenstown are generally expensive, but this one is OK. Cost-effectiveness is also a very important consideration.
There is a bus stop at the entrance of the previous guide, and the Airport Line 1 can reach it. I didn't expect that the road was under construction recently, and the platform was temporarily cancelled, but it's okay to take one more stop. It's not far to walk, and you can see the two most beautiful cherry trees.
10 minutes walk from the town
25 minutes walk from the skyline
Another big slope to go up and down, nothing else is good, mountain view room, you can see the cable car every day🚡
Room is amazing and cozy. staff was professional and helpful. breakfast buffet was great with amazing view.
it's located about 15-20 minutes away from Town Centre, much more quiet location which is ideal if you want to relax. However, parking can be quiet painful, the closest parking lot is either open air and underground which required bit of distance dragging the luggage across, and parking fee is charged on top.
Location a bit far from the city center, it’s actually near the airport but the hotel has good soundproofing so we barely hear noise from the airport. There are many restaurants and shops around just nearby the hotel. Room is nicely designed and we had a beautiful mountain view. Breakfast was great, good healthy options available too! I love that they have a game room for kids, very useful
Stayed 3 nights and overall a very positive experience, thanks to its fantastic amenities. After long days spent exploring the stunning surrounding landscapes, the private hot tub is an absolute highlight. Soaking in the warm water was incredibly relaxing and a perfect way to unwind tired muscles.
Parking is convenient and the room is not bad. The front desk is a little beauty from Harbin. The conversion plug we brought was forgotten in the last hotel and borrowed the conversion plug from the front desk. Thank you very much.
Wonderful view from the hotel even I was not staying in the lake view room which can have a peak of the lake.
However, staffs may need more training. I have booked two nights but in separate bookings and staffs was good to let me stay in the same room. But they dont release that the room key was deactivated even I told them my situation.
Despite what’s advertised one should beware some misleading info.
We expected a king size bed in the kings deluxe unit but the bed was closer to a Queen.
More disappointing was the promise of a “kitchen” only to be presented with an outdoor BBQ grill, microwave, toaster, kettle, plates, bowls and a mini fridge. Absent were pots, pans, a hob and we were told at check in not to do any washing as there was no sink. To be fair, a breakfast basket of breads was provided with jams but it was certainly not a kitchen. When we raised the issue of different advertising with our host, we received neither clarifications nor any sympathy.
Otherwise, it was lovely stay.
Facilities: The resort has complete facilities, a good environment, and a large golf course. The hotel rooms are average, American style.
Hygiene: The hygiene of New Zealand hotels is good.
Environment: Really good! There are also many foreigners staying here, all of whom come to play golf on vacation.
Service: Not bad!

이이진희We chose this hotel because we expected to enjoy its winery/food. Otherwise, we should have stayed in Queenstown with a lot of restaurants and pubs.
As we would arrive in the early evening, we put a note for our hope for experiencing their winery and food (or at least finger foods) when we booked the hotel, and received email that they cannot guarantee but will do their best to serve our need. Since then, no email was sent to us. When we arrived at the hotel around 6 pm, no one was in the information desk, so we had to go to the bistro to find out that they left the key in a safe box without any notice or sending us any email with its password. We had to wait a while for the bistro lady to make a phone call to whom it concerns, which was okay. Worse, we heard that their bistro was reserved for a group event so we could not use the facility at all. We had to drive 15 minutes to a nearby town and bought foods from a supermarket. I think the hotel should have notified us of impossibility of using their bistro/food service due to the group event and we have to prepare for our food. As I checked out, I left a note about the issues, and expected they would send me an email to express their sincere apology. Unfortunately nothing happened so far. Although I liked the room as well as the whole place very much, I think Kinross cottage needs professionalism to run their stay program. It could have been much nicer, memorable stay experience.

GGuest UserThe facilities are not bad, the service is really not in line with the requirements. Complete self-service. It was cold and there was no air conditioning, the heating stove was broken and repaired, and the room was not changed. The squatting can use the electric oil they don't know from the cellar, and they barely resist freezing. Request star service bypass, the price is not high, not recommended
SSiu WoOverall, the location, service and facilities are very good. but the pricing is a bit on expensive side. The buffet breakfast at hotel with limited choices which can not compare with the same kind of hotels category in Asia....can't expect too much. You may consider to book room only instead. The service and the reception, concierge and doorman are very helpful and providing many information. If the service and attentiveness at the cafe (during serving breakfast) can be enhance, it will be much better.
