"On a part of the day , water is missing.
I don't know if it's a problem with the hotel, but it seems to be a very regrettable city."

GGuest UserDoesn’t meet Belmond expectations.
1. Food is average, the same we had in a small village, change a chef, not tasty at all.
2. On a breakfast waiters ALWAYS bring fruits and after 5 min asking if I need them. Why on earth I should eat fruits in 5 min? And why do you need it? Quality and variety of breakfast is not nice — all days we had not fresh blueberries. In my home country I have blueberries from Peru and it’s fresher. How it is possible?
3. Welcome is not in Belmond style: no champagne or good chocolate.
4. One day we asked to clean the room before 12, they did, we came and I was sure we are alone in the room. When I was naked I saw a gardener in our private terrace. He also saw me. How it’s possible he entered our terrace when I was in the room????? With no bell and knocking????
5. Alpacas feeding is also trash: all people from hotel come, you will never get nice pictures like on instagram. Why you don’t make it by appointment? We had a lot of experiences with animals in different countries , this one is the worst.
6. Stuff is not well trained, communication is super artificial.
Place is beautiful, but that’s it. Worst Belmond we have been to. Ask Monasterio Belmond about good experience and top notch service.
KKENJO OOur stay at Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel was excellent. The hotel is new, well maintained, and is an ideal place to enjoy a comfortable rest before visiting Machu Picchu.
The service was warm and attentive from the moment we arrived. A staff member was waiting for us at the train station and assisted with our luggage both to the hotel and back to the station upon departure. Our room was comfortable, and the bed provided a much-needed good night’s sleep.
The hotel is also conveniently located within a short walk of the bus departure point for Machu Picchu. Everything was clearly explained during check-in, while the check-out process was equally smooth and well organised.
Overall, Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel offers excellent service, comfortable accommodation, and a convenient location. We would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing stay before visiting Machu Picchu.
Aazul kenEverything was perfect, but right at the very end, I was charged an amount that I wasn't sure if it was a service fee or something else. I was in a hurry, so I just paid it. However, if there are additional charges beyond the room rate, I wish I had been informed beforehand.
GGuest UserOur train back from Machu Picchu was delayed, so we didn't get to the hotel until 10 PM. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by a cozy warmth. The turndown service was already complete, and there was even a hot water bottle. It was hands down the best night's sleep we've had so far on this trip. The hotel itself is incredibly stylishly decorated. Breakfast is a buffet, but you can also order à la carte. The coffee is excellent too. Highly recommend!
WWuSharonThe photos don't do justice to the place! The hotel is fantastic--the location is close enough to the attractions but just outside of the main tourist area since it's up on the hillside, so it's the perfect combination of convenience and relaxation. The check-in process was so welcoming, we felt at home as soon as stepping into the hotel's courtyard. The views from the hotel were unbelievable; the breakfast was great; the rooms were very clean and has all the comforts you'd need. And don't miss the llamas in the backyard! The restaurant staff didn't seem very experienced but it was sufficient.
GGuest UserThe location is very good, there is free lunch or dinner, very good, the room facilities are general, but it is estimated that it is already a very good presence in the local area, overall, it is still very good.
RRoby__Incredibly friendly staff, beautiful view on a high point of Cusco, the bedrooms are not above reception but below, but they are full of light.
Very clean, highly recommend
FFIR501This hotel absolutely exceeded my expectations. Located in the heart of Cusco, it's incredibly convenient for getting around and finding restaurants. Converted from a monastery over several years, the entire hotel is beautiful and grand, a perfect blend of history and modernity. I was also pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite for free. The room was filled with a sense of tranquility, and I slept comfortably at Cusco's high altitude. The breakfast was also plentiful. The only downsides were the slightly noisy air conditioning and the soft pillows, but I still highly recommend this hotel!
GGuest UserWhilst rooms felt tired and probably due a refresh, overall a really nice hotel in a perfect location. The lobby, bar and courtyard were really lovely.
We want to specifically mention Jean Carlo - a genuinely nice man who was always so ready to help and always with a beaming smile - give that man a raise, he’s the face of the hotel and does a grand job!
SSham LatiffThis is a lovely hotel very near to the train station with lots of restaurants next to it. Its also very conveniently to go to the bus station up to the citadel. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. They even helped us get a really good guide for our visit to the incan city. Highly recommended
