Independence Monument

The Independence Monument in Almaty, Kazakhstan, is located in the center of the Independence Square in the center of the city center, which was built in 1999 on the initiative of President Khazhar Nazarbayev. The 28-meter-high monument, topped by a 6-meter-high golden warrior standing on a winged snow leopard, symbolizes the strong state power in Kazakh lands. Four statues around the foot of the monument, the "Wise in the Heaven", the "Mother of the Earth" and the two children, represent the history and the good future of the Republic, and the family they form together is the basis for the existence of the country and the reproduction of mankind. The reliefs around the monument reflect major events in various historical periods in the country.

Almaty is a highway, railway and aviation hub in Kazakhstan, the southwest of the railway can go to Uzbek, the north can go to the capital Astana, and the east can go to China. The monument on Independence Square is very eye-catching because of its high height, which is basically a bit similar to most Independence monuments, and the steps below the monument, although not many, are enough to reflect the sense of majesty. There is a half-arc wall next to it, which makes it a small area isolated from the surrounding area. In addition to some sculptures of characters, there is a beautiful sculpture of a young boy riding a horse.
