Keqier Grottoes, also known as Keqier Thousand Buddha Caves or Hesel Grottoes, Chinese Buddhist Grottoes, are located on the cliff of Mingwu Tage Mountain, 7 kilometers southeast of Keqier Town, Baicheng County, Xinjiang, and to the south is the Muzart River Valley. Keqier Grottoes are the earliest large-scale grottoes in China and the most geographically located in the west. It was drilled in the 3rd century AD, and it gradually stopped construction in the 1st century AD, and the duration is unique in all countries. One of the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in the country announced in 1961.

The murals of the Thousand Buddha Cave of Kezier were badly destroyed and heartache was great. Keqier Thousand Buddha Cave is in Kuqa County, Xinjiang. Kuqa County is the seat of the ancient turtle country established by the Aryan people 2,000 years ago. The ancient turtle country was founded in 176 BC and was destroyed by the Hui people in 1001 AD, and has existed for more than 1,000 years. The land of the country includes the current Kuqa Basin Oasis, Sailimu Oasis, Baicheng Oasis, Aksu Oasis, Xinhe Oasis, Shaya Oasis and Luntai Oasis, with 6,970 households and a population of 81,317 people. Keqior Thousand Buddha Cave in Baicheng County is located on the cliff of Gobi, about seven kilometers southeast of Keqior Town in the east of Baicheng County. The excavation of Keqior Grottoes dates from the 3rd to 8th centuries AD, and is the largest existing Buddhist grotto group in Guguizi, China.
