Quatre Columnes

Part of an Ensemble

These old-looking columns are part of the park below the Catalan art museum and next to the big fountains. They are port of a large ensemble in this very grand part of town.

By the side of the magical fountain you will find the Four Columns. The four Ionic columns originally created by Josep Puigi Cadafalch in Barcelona, Spain. They were erected in 1919.

A Catalan symbol, originally created in the early 1900's by Josep Puig Cadafalch however during Franco's reign they were demolished, what we see today was erected in 2010.

Interesting story
