Beihai Customs Building Former Site

The Beihai Customs Building is the physical evidence of the loss of sovereignty of the Qing government of the District. The building was established in 1877 as the North Customs. It is commonly known as "Beihaiguan", so the old site is a physical evidence of the loss of the old Chinese customs sovereignty.
