What travelers say:

Built in 1725 (three years of the Zhengzheng), it was called Penglaizhou, and the name of Pengdao Xingtai was named in the early years of Qianlong. When the garden was in full bloom, the dragon boat raced in Fuhai Dragon Boat Festival. The emperor led the king and the prince to watch the pavilion on the west bank of the "Wang Weizhou", and the queen queen and concubines were enjoying the Pengdao Xingtai. In October 1860, when the British and French forces attacked the Summer Palace, the Pengdao Xingtai was not destroyed because there were no available ships in the park, but in 1870, an accidental fire occurred on the Pengdao Xingtai, because there were still no available ships on the shore, and the Pengdao Xingtai was eventually burned.
