The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is a wonderful place to visit in Richmond. First, admission is FREE. You can find free street parking in the surrounding areas, too. There’s also a lovely restaurant inside that is rather affordable as well as a cafe downstairs. The museum hosts an outdoor sculpture garden, ancient relics, paintings, and so much more. My favorite are the Egyptian sarcophagus and Indian Garden Pavilion.

I came here drizzle, day, with some locals around the workmanship and art appreciation. Make sure your day, in the open! (It was a mid-week day or 43. I don't remember.) Buy chocolate in that bearded doorway place. You won't regret it. You will see that after that he provided an example. I wish to try Curanto, steak made with apples and spices, and underground, but don’t wait until 2.30pm when I have to leave. (So my advice is, 1) make an appointment, because it's fast, you need to point ahead to guarantee anything. 2) Remember that night lunchtime so there is also a late breakfast or snack at the same time. They have a lot of stuff as well. I really like the handmade stuff here so if you get tired of keychains, and magnets Mates, this is the place to go.

The White House is one of the most iconic and historic landmarks in Washington, D.C. largely because it’s the official residence and workplace of the President of the United States. I would recommend to anyone interested in American history and politics to tour the inside of the White House (it’s free but limited). The White House is also visible from outside by keeping a distance from it. You can also see the National Mall and Memorial Parks nearby (there are 14 parks and monuments in total), including the iconic Washington Monument.

Do not miss visiting the US capitol. The building is amazing and the history it tells is a must do when visiting Washington DC. You can do a free tour where a guide is telling you a lot of facts about the building, the people who worked here and the ones who still work here. You can experience the history of the government of the United States here better then any where else.Secret tip: visit the capitol when the sun is down for a walk around the capitol garden.

The Lincoln Memorial is an iconic symbol of American history and a place of profound significance. Its majestic architecture, featuring the towering statue of Abraham Lincoln, commands respect and admiration. The solemnity of the Reflecting Pool, set against the backdrop of the Washington Monument and the Capitol, creates a breathtaking vista. Visitors are immersed in the spirit of freedom, equality, and unity, making it a must-visit destination. The memorial's role in commemorating one of America's greatest leaders and his enduring message of liberty and justice for all is truly inspiring.
