Established in 597 AD, Canterbury Cathedral has stood at the heart of English History for over 1400 years.Worshipers and tourists come from all over to witness and admire the exquisite architecture and learn about Christianity. The Cathedral is also home to the burial site of Thomas Beckett also know as Saint Thomas of Canterbury. The Cathedral has many chapels and a crypt to explore and marvel. Definitely worth a visit and one of the better cathedrals within the UK to tour round.

Very worth a visit. Westminster Abbey is very magnificent, equipped with a Chinese guide and speaks very well. The last Poet Corner also found Jane Austen, which I like, and the whole tour took about an hour. However, there were more people that day, and it took about 45 minutes for the security check to enter the door. Still worth a visit.

I visited St Paul’s cathedral with my friends and it was much bigger than I was expected.Highly recommended to go up to the stairs to get to the whispering gallery and if you’re tough enough, try to get more higher using narrow stairs so you can get out and see the London landscape(my friend did and she liked that). beautiful artworks as well as famous people’s coffin, it’s very entertaining.

Churches and Cathedrals

No tickets required. This attraction is recommended: this is the oldest church in the English-speaking world. History dates back to 597 years. The oldest part of the church dates back to Roman times, which is earlier and older than 597 years. Touch the breath of ancient Rome. It is suitable for slow travel and thinking. For some who like history, Christian history, this is a place of pilgrimage!

This is a place for Franciscans in Canterbury, a large garden with a church in the garden. The environment is very good, surrounded by green trees and grass, very quiet. The garden is free to visitors and many citizens see it as a park to relax here.

Reissued photo, from the beginning: St Thomas' Church in Canterbury is a Roman Catholic parish church that almost disappeared from the Catholic faith in Canterbury under King Henry VIII and after Protestant Reformation in the 16th century. The Church of St. Thomas of Canterbury was built in the Gothic Revival style on the site of a medieval church, which was built in 1875 and opened on April 13, 1875. Since then, Catholicism has taken root again in Canterbury. The treasure of this church is the sacred object of Thomas Beckett: a piece of clothing and a bone on his body. After Thomas Beckett was murdered at Canterbury Cathedral, the monks began collecting Thomas Beckett's relics, including his sackcloth. These relics have been in Italy since the 1220s. I don't know how these relics came into Italy. In the late 19th century, Baroness Mary Hales acquired these Saints of Thomas Beckett: a fragment of clothing and a bone in his body, and gave them to Thomas Church.

Reissue point photo: St. Dunstan Church St. Dunstan''''s Church is a place of worship and pilgrimage, and has welcomed tourists and pilgrims from all over the world for more than 800 years. The church's patron is Dunstan, who was once Archbishop of Canterbury and is considered by many to be one of England's greatest saints, and May 19 is St Dunstan's Remembrance Day. In 940, Dunstan became the abbey's abbot, a strict absolutionist who overhauled the abbey and insisted on full compliance with the rules of St. Benedict, under whose leadership the abbey was known for learning. The church dates back to the 11th century. It was associated with the deaths of Thomas Beckett and Thomas More, so it became a pilgrimage site. The treasure of St. Dunstan's church was the bell, which rang from six English styles, with the heaviest bells about 675 kilograms. The oldest bell was cast in 1325 and has a history of nearly 695 years as of 2020. There was a practice of ringing the bells on Friday night, and these bells are still knocking on our hearts today, and it seems that they are saying something.
