The altitude at the entrance is already over 3000 meters, and just climbing to the ticket office is tiring. You can buy tickets in advance or directly at the entrance, which is very convenient. It is recommended to purchase tickets online during the peak season. The ticket and shuttle bus are a must-buy, and after walking 400 meters, you'll reach the place where you must take the electric cart!!! (Actually, even walking these 400 meters is tiring.) Then walk about another 400 meters to reach the horse riding spot. You must ride!!! I personally couldn't even climb the stairs after getting off the horse. It's said to be a 1.6-kilometer journey, and I was exhausted. The high altitude sickness and the steep stairs are really too much for an ordinary person. I reached the top around 12 o'clock, and countless times I wanted to give up. The scenery is truly beautiful, but life is also really important. If you can't handle it, don't try it lightly. Also, if you want to enjoy the scenery, you can totally do so on the way back down the original path, taking in the views at your leisure!! It's advised to go light with an oxygen can, some cola, chocolate, a windproof jacket, and medicine for motion sickness and high altitude sickness (you'll get motion sickness on the one-hour bus ride), plus a hiking stick. That's all you need. Carrying too much stuff is a burden, and you'll be too tired to have a big appetite anyway. For those who are eager to try, I suggest considering your own physical condition and acting accordingly. On my way back, I dissuaded a group of people who were still struggling to climb. If you're going, it's better to start early. I had been walking down for an hour and a half, and there were still people climbing up. They don't allow you to go up to Milk Sea after 2:30 pm. Start at 7:30 am, stay nearby the day before, take whatever transportation is available to shorten the journey, and then climb up. Only then will ordinary people have enough time to reach the top!

The hike up to the Milk Lake in Daocheng Yading National Park is a must-do for any adventurous traveler visiting Sichuan. From Chonggu Meadow to Luorong Pasture, if you don't want to walk, you can buy a round-trip electric car for 70. Buy it! But don't sit all the way to the end! You can get on and off at each stop of the electric car! Don't worry about not having a seat on the car, there will be staff to arrange and dispatch. Most tourists buy electric cars to go directly to the long line, but actually the scenery along the electric car is good, colorful forests, roads and towering Yangmaiyong. Especially the section of road from Shengshui Lake Station to Yangmaiyong Station is an excellent spot to view Yangmaiyong. Yangmaiyong seen from this angle is particularly imposing and the morning light is particularly suitable. The angle and light are better than at Luorong Pasture. Although Yangmaiyong is closer at Luorong Pasture and Gongga Lake, it does not have the visual impact of Shengshui Lake Station. It is particularly imposing, white and towering straight into the sky. I immediately asked the electric car driver to stop and get off. So my important strategy is: the electric car can stop at each station to play. Especially the most beautiful between Shengshui Lake and Yangmaiyong! This way, it feels worth the price of the electric car. For those who can't climb the long line, there are more relaxed ways to play. If you are not very interested in alpine lakes and have friends with high anti, it is not recommended to climb the two lakes. Walking to Gongga Lake is the most beautiful, and there is only about two kilometers of flat road between Luorong Pasture and Gongga Lake. From Danba towards Chengdu, pass through Shuanggou Bridge and Mount Siguniang. The scenery here is also beautiful. It takes about 2 hours to tour by car. However, after you've done the grand loop in Daocheng Yading, you might find Mount Siguniang just average. That's my feeling . Afterwards, it's a 3-hour drive back to Chengdu! This is the entire grand loop route! Transportation: We joined a small group tour with a professional driver to guide us. The group fee was less than 3000 yuan , including travel and accommodation! Precautions: Carry enough oxygen throughout the trip, as the altitude ranges from 3000 to over 5000 meters starting from Chengdu.
