Emperor Guan Temple

＂ Guandi Temple ＂ is located on Gulou East Street, Datong Ancient City. It is a shrine building before the Ming Dynasty, commonly known as the Great Temple. The main hall in the temple is the only Yuan Dynasty building preserved in the ancient city of Datong. The Qing "Datong Mansion Zhi" contains Ming Jingtai, Jiajing, Longqing and Wanli years to repair the monument. The Qing Kangxi and Qianlong Dynasty were all built and repaired. The Qing Shunzhi period stage in the front square of the temple was simple and elegant. The central axis of the temple was built in turn with mountain gates, cross halls, main halls, spring and autumn buildings, and the temples of wealth, grandmother halls, and famous generals, etc., forming a complete and magnificent architectural pattern. Since Datong has been a must-win place for soldiers since ancient times, the spirit of martial arts was originally a geo-tradition, coupled with the experience of war, praying for peace and stability has become the greatest expectation of the people. The Guangong of Zhong, Yi, Ren and Yong is the idol of worship.

After coming out of the grotto, we went straight to Datong City, the old town was being repaired, and the heavy city walls were vaguely the product of modern architecture. Follow the navigation instructions and turn seven and eight and then go to Neigulou East Street. We walk on the repaired Gulou East Street, which is about to end. This street reproduces the bustling of Datong Ancient City Well. Guandi Temple is on this street, and the square in front of the temple stands the ancient stage of the imperial city that has been relocated from imperial city street.
