Australian Federation Square is the most complex and sprawling building in the area, and a new municipal and cultural centre for the local people. It is a characteristic building integrating community culture, indigenous culture and Western culture, showing the life style of Melbourne and Victoria.

The National Art Museum of Victoria is located in the center of Melbourne, close to the Yarra River, opposite the big park. The exhibition hall is colorful. People who don’t understand English can also calm down in the artistic atmosphere and enjoy the art.

We had a great day in this prison. Our family loves history so this tour was a great experience and an interactive tour that takes you back to the past. My 9-year-old son loves to pretend to be locked up. The prison itself is interesting, especially the display of Ned Kelly. I highly recommend it if you like to learn about history.

Meaningful and educational visit, free access to the galleries (including on the first and second World War, and Australia's role in peacekeeping) which have a wealth of collection of artefacts and explanatory videos.

This is a museum introducing Chinese people to Australia, telling the history of Chinese people in Australia and the migration. But these materials are really very few, the museum is not big, but the information is small, so it is really not worth looking at. And the tickets are expensive relative to exhibits and materials. My husband and I arrived in Melbourne last Tuesday and we didn't plan our trip that day, and then we passed by the museum and decided to go in. We found the gold mine exhibition and dragon particularly interesting and I might come back here again if I come back to Melbourne later.
