Haizhuang Temple is located at No. 337 Tongfu Middle Road. It was built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties and has a history of more than 300 years. It is a key cultural relic protection unit in Guangzhou. It is famous for its solemn temple appearance, majestic temples, wide net area, and prosperity of Buddhism. It is known as one of the five major jungles in Guangfu. According to legend, the temple was called "Qianqiu Temple" in the Southern Han Dynasty. It has been abandoned for a long time and has become a resident mass grave. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, it was a round land for the rich gentry Guo Longyue. Monks Guangmu, Yuechi and their apprentices recruited Guo to build a Buddhist temple here. According to the Buddhist scriptures of Haizhuang Bhikshu, they devote themselves to practicing the Prajna Paramita Sutra to become a Buddha, and named it "Haizhuang Temple". Haizhuang Temple has a long history, elegant environment and pleasant scenery. "Spring in the Sea" is one of the eight famous scenic spots in Yangcheng in the past. There are a large number of historical sites and precious cultural relics, such as Haizhuan Eagle Claw, Sixteen Arhats, Four Diamonds, Three Beard Guanyin, Tiger Heading Stone, Haizhuang Palace Tile, Dangui Bowl, Nether Bell, Star Rock Pagoda, etc., which are rich and colorful. Although today's Haizhuang Temple has lost the quiet, solemn, mysterious and detached atmosphere of the ancient temples of the past, the garden landscape is still the same. Here the ancient trees are towering, the green trees are shady, and the river wind is blowing, which is refreshing. In addition to the eagle claw orchid, there are three ancient Bodhi trees here, one is on the inside of the north gate of the temple, the other is on the southwest side of the Tianwang Hall, and the other is on the southeast behind the Daxiong Hall. According to legend, these three bodhi trees were planted from the original bodhi tree of Guangxiao Temple. Due to historical reasons, Haizhuang Temple and Haizhuang Park are in the same garden, and Haizhuang Temple only occupies the west side of the park, thus losing the symmetry and balance that a Buddhist temple should have, and also causing great difficulties to the management of the temple. After years of unremitting efforts by the monk Xincheng and people from all walks of life in the city and district, and with the approval of the Guangzhou Municipal and Haizhu District People's Governments, the park has been classified as Haizhuang Temple for management and use, so that the Haizhuang Temple, which has experienced a century of vicissitudes, has been restored to its original appearance.
Haizhuang Temple [Hichuáng S] is located in the jurisdiction of Haizhuang Street, Haizhu District, Guangzhou. In the late Ming Dynasty, two monks from Guangxu and Chiyue asked Guo Longyue, the owner of the garden, to build a Buddhist temple, and named Haizhuang Temple according to the meaning of "Haizhuang Bicchu to practice the "Ruo Polomeido Heart Sutra". During the Qing Shunzhi and Kangxi period, the buildings of Daxiong Palace, Temple of Heavenly Kings, Temple of Pagodas, and Mountain Gate were expanded. In 1928, Henan Park was opened and renamed Haizhuang Park in 1933. In 1963, the Guangzhou Municipal Government transferred Haizhuang Temple to Haizhuang Park management, and religious activities were stopped. Religious activities have been resumed with approval since 1993.

Childhood memory! When I was a child, I always followed my grandmother to pray for blessings. At that time, the incense was not so strong, and I was with Haizhuang Park. There were game projects! Now the incense is full, and it has been transformed into a Buddhist place in Guangzhou!
Haizhuang Temple is located on Tongfu Middle Road, Haizhu District. Next to my work place, I have listened to Fan Yin every day for more than 20 years! I have also witnessed Haizhuang Temple slowly evolve from a small temple to a grand and grand religious place.
Modern architecture, temples are not big. In addition to fame, it is not a must-see attraction. There are still towering trees inside, and the others are modern buildings.
