A museum on the history of the city of Gyoda
Original Text
The castle of Gyoda, reconstructed and transformed into a municipal museum, offers a good panorama of the city's history and activities, starting with the tabi factory, traditional socks ...
The attack on Odawara in 1590. At that time, the general general of the attack on Toyotomi Kata Shinobu Castle was Mitsunari Ishida, and Mitsunari was an impregnable castle that was said to have attacked the water using the surrounding rivers but did not fall. A museum on the site of the Shinobu Castle Ruins. There were various exhibitions and I enjoyed it with many highlights! I'm glad I got the stamp of Continued Top 100 Castles in Japan ♪
Immediately from the "Ninja Castle Ruins / Local Museum Mae" bus stop on the west circulation course of the city circulation bus. About 5 minutes walk from "Ninja Castle Bus Terminal". Located on the site of Shinobu Castle Honmaru, the restored Shinobu Castle Sankai turret is also part of the museum. Admission fee is 200 yen. Permanent exhibitions cannot be photographed. Materials from Shinobu Castle, excavated items from the Saitama tumulus group, and materials related to Tabi, which is famous as the industry of Gyoda, are exhibited in the hall, but the number of exhibits is not so large. The top floor (4th floor) of the Gosankai turret is an observation room.
There are plenty of exhibits about the history of Gyoda City and the Tabi industry. If you go down the long corridor, you will lead to Shinobu Castle, and there is also an exhibition here. The castle itself is concrete and is a castle-shaped building, so you can usually go to the top floor by stairs. Shooting is prohibited inside the building.
I was enthusiastic when I could see and read historical explanations, but unfortunately I couldn't enter today because it was a regular holiday in the museum. Sorry!
